Missouri almost died. "Now stop that! Calliope, groveling is a euphemism!"

"For what?" Calliope looked to her in trust.

"Grown up things." Missouri looked at the nosy Dianna.

"What are grown up things?"

Missouri felt faint.

Adam grinned. "What are grown up things?"

"I'm beating you..."

Adam remembered his swats from before and shut up.

"What does "grown up" mean?" Castiel wanted to know.

Calliope nodded, wondering that as well.

Missouri was drowning. "Grown up means adult."

"Adult." Calliope repeated nearly silently. "We are technically adults. We are the oldest beings here. We are adults."

"But Di is not."

Calliope scratched her head, truly confused.

Castiel frowned deeply, thinking it over.

Meg was elbowing a silently snickering Benny.

"So if "groveling" is a euphemism for adult matters and Dianna is too young to hear,- why is Dianna too young to hear? She can barely speak. I highly doubt she will repeat anything." Calliope wanted to know this meaning.

Missouri's jaw dropped as the boys giggled. "She's learning to talk and she'll repeat anything she can!"

"To whom?"

Dean laid on the table, crying.

Missouri was so mad. She took a deep breath. "Shut up, Dean!"

He made a strange noise.

She knew he was still laughing. "Eat!"

"So you're feeding me now?" He sat up.

She gave him the serving bowl.

He brightened.

Calliope felt like she lost somehow.

"Are we celebrating Halloween?" Margot asked.

Sam looked up from his computer. "Huh?"

"Halloween? Are we celebrating Halloween? Do hunters celebrate holidays?"

"Not well." He had a flashback to the many disastrous holidays he and Dean had had.

She pouted. "I'm sorry."

"It's not your fault. But I guess we are making a better way for the kids." He thought it over. "I'll ask Dean."

She clapped happily and bounced on their bed. "Yes!"

He smiled at her cuteness.

"Hey, Dean." Sam caught up to Dean in the hallway leading to the kitchen.

"Hey, Sammy." Dean rubbed his forehead tiredly.

"What's wrong?"

"Di is teething again."

Sam frowned. "Damn."

"Calli's crying with her."

"Why doesn't she just take away the pain?"

"She says she wants Di to experience being human and humans can't magically take away their pain." Dean grumped.

"And she's going through with it?"
