Voldemorts army out numbered us by the hundreds.

The battle took over the whole school grounds.

For many hours we fought long, and hard.

As dawn approached, Voldemorts voice rang throughout our ears in an ear piercing echo.

"Harry Potter, I now speak directly to you. On this night, you have allowed your friends to die for you, rather than face me yourself. There is no greater dishonor. Join me in the Forbidden Forest, and confront your fate. If you do not do this, I shall kill every last man, woman and child who tries to conceal you from me." And with the last word that left Voldemorts lips, his arm retracted instantly.

My wand was gone.

It had been knocked from my grip during battle, and I couldn't find it.

I guess he called everyone off at the perfect time.

Everyone quickly made their way to the great hall, to seek medical attention and to identify the dead.

As I entered to room, there were people crying everywhere.

Everyone was bloody and bruised.

My attention turned to my friends, who were in a huddle in the middle of the room.

I quickly ran up to them, though once I got there I wish I hadn't.

On the cot that was in the center of them, laid Fred Weasley.

His eyes stared blankly into the ceiling.

My hand quickly covered my mouth, as the tears fell from my eyes.

George sobbed uncontrollably.

That choking feeling in my throat grew, as I looked around the room.

Lupin and Tonk's laid lifeless a few rows down.

Heart break filled every inch of the room.

After we took in as much sorrow as we could, Harry, Ron, Hermione, and I went into the hallway.

"I have to go to the forbidden forest, it's the only way." Harry spoke, as soon as we exited the great hall.

"You can't, Harry!" Hermione exclaimed.

As I looked into Harry's eyes, I realized he was dead serious.

"He has to.  It's him who Voldemort wants.  It's the only way." Ron said.

We all stood there in silence for a while, just looking at each other.

"Good bye, Harry." My voice cracked, as I spoke.

I quickly gave Harry a hug, before walking away.

Everything was too much to take in.

You can really feel it in your heart, when something isn't right.

I cried silently, as I ran though the halls.

I needed to get away for a moment.

I needed a break from reality.

I found myself sitting at the top of the astronomy tower, with a cup in my hand watching the sun begin to rise.

The cup was filled with liquor, of course.

If I was gonna die, I might as well be drunk.

With no wand, I didn't really have much of a chance anymore.

"What a hell of a time to have a drink." A deep voice spoke from next to me.

I turned my head to see Draco standing there.

"I came up here to be alone." I spat at him.

"I know, that's why I knew where to find you." Draco said, sitting down next to me.

He stayed about an arms distance away.

"What the hell do you want?" I huffed at him.

"I told you, we would find each other in the end." Draco looked over at me, I quickly turned my head away from him.

I couldn't look at him, I just couldn't bring myself to it.

"Not like this, Draco." I took a long drink from my cup.

"Can I... have some?" Draco asked.

I took the cup from my lips, and shoved it in his direction.

"Go for it." I sighed.

Draco softly took the cup from my hand, and drank.

He finished the drink, and threw the empty cup over his shoulder.

"I also, wanted to thank you.  For not letting me burn to death." Draco spoke whole heartedly.

"Right." I stared into the distance.

Draco blinked slowly, as the thoughts bounced throughout his mind.

"I-I..." Draco trailed off, before starting again, "you don't trust me, do you?"

I wanted to, I wanted to trust him so bad.

My heart begged me to, but my brain told me how I knew better.

"I don't know." I replied.

"I haven't read the note yet." Draco sighed.

My head quickly turned to him.

I pushed myself to my feet, and extended my arm to him.

"Give it back, Malfoy." I spoke harshly.

"Why?" Draco asked, folding his arms over his chest.

"Give it back!" I screamed at him.

"No!" Draco argued back.

Our screaming match halted, as we noticed everyone beginning to collect outside of the castle.

"Shit!" I yelled.

I ran out of the astronomy tower, and began making my way outside.

Draco followed me closely behind.

Everyone stood in silence, as I pushed through the crowd.

Hagrid stood in the center, holding Harry Potter.

Harry's body laid limp.

Voldemort walked around with a large grin on his face.

"Harry Potter is dead!" Voldemort announced to everyone.

"No! No!" Ginny cried out, attempting to run forward.  Her father quickly grabbed her.

"Silence! Stupid girl. Harry Potter is dead, from this day forth... you put your faith in me. Harry Potter is dead!" Voldemort announced.

Voldemort's followers let out a large echo of laughter.

"And now is the time to declare yourself. Come forward and join us... or die." Voldemort spoke loudly.

"Draco... Draco..." Lucius called out.

Everyone's eyes turned to Draco, who stood at the back of the crowd on our side.

"Draco, come." His mother spoke softly, as she extended her arm out.

Draco's eyes darted between everyone.

"No, Draco.  Please." I softly begged.

Draco turned his head to the ground.

He kept his eyes on his feet, as he walked over to Voldemorts side, and into his mother's arms.
