"I knew I'd find you here."

Sakura lifted her gaze to see Naruto walking in without knocking as usual. He made his way to the front of her desk and then leaned against it while looking back at her curiously.

"What is it?"

"I haven't been seeing much of you lately."

Sakura rolled her eyes. "You see me all the time."

"True, but we haven't had a lunch date in forever."

"I had lunch with you just last week," she looked at him with bored eyes.

"I meant with our spouses." Naruto clarified. "Kai's the one I haven't seen much of lately. I don't even remember the last time he visited the pub."

"I've been busy, Naruto."

"That never stopped him from hanging out with the guys before."

Naruto didn't recall the last time he'd spoken with the anbu captain. It was strange considering he always made an effort to spend time with his wife's group of friends ever since they first started dating, yet he hadn't been showing up at all even when invited.

He thought nothing of it at first, he knew Kai had his own group of friends and might be busy with work, but Hinata mentioned how they hadn't had a double date with him and Sakura in a while. Something they've done often throughout the years. Naruto hadn't even seen them roaming around in the village together.

"You'll have to take that up with him," Sakura stated.

Naruto nodded and then continued to hover over her while she worked on the papers in front of her. Though she seemed pretty fine to him, he felt something was off. It worried him, especially since his assumptions were telling him it involved her husband.

"How are you and Kai doing?" he asked casually while playing with a random item on her desk.

"We're good." Sakura smiled brightly. "He's on a mission right now, though. He's been gone since yesterday morning and won't be back until tonight, hopefully."

So, it doesn't involve Kai...

"Hinata says we should have a double date soon."

"Sure." Sakura agreed. "I'll have to talk to Kai about our days off, then I'll let you know."

"Where should we go this time?" Naruto beamed. He felt at ease now that his worry was confirmed to be wrong.

As they were talking and deciding what they could do for their double date, the sound of a brief knock was heard before the door swung open.

The person casually strolling inside shocked the blond a bit, as he was the last person he would predict walking into the pinkette's office.

Part of him wondered if his eyes were playing tricks on him.

Sasuke took a seat in the same spot he always did when visiting the pinkette's room. It was strange, yet normal. The last time Naruto saw him sit down on her couch so freely was before he'd left on his long-term.

"I was wondering when you'd show up." Sakura frowned.

"I told you I would twice already." Sasuke waved her off, unfazed by her annoyance. "So, what is it now?"

"You still have multiple tests you need done."

"I'm perfectly healthy," he drawled, closing his eyes as he leaned back on the couch.

Sakura huffed and then walked over to her filing cabinet before taking a seat on the couch across from him. She threw the file on the coffee table before them and copied his crossed-armed pose.
