mature-ish language? idk it's literally one word lol

"I don't know about this."

It was eight p.m. and we were standing in the hotel lobby. Nerves kicked in just in time for the four of us to be absolutely terrified to meet Willie's mystery guy.

"Well, if you get scared," Reggies turned to face me, "you... you can always hide behind me."

"I'll be hiding behind Luke," Alex joined as the three of us hid behind our lead guitarist.

"You guys need to grow up, okay?" Luke started, "We're gonna get back at Bobby. He needs to pay for what he did to us."

"Yeah. I'm still gonna hide behind him," Alex smiled.

"Okay cool, but just so you know,
we have, like, an hour, because we got a gig with Julie," I remind everyone for, like, the hundreth time.

"We know Jaiden, don't worry about it," Luke assured me.

"Cool."

Willie greeted us promptly and led us into the main room.

It was still as beautiful the last time we saw it. There were actually other ghosts there dressed in flashy costumes. Feathery hats and swinging music completely made the atmosphere thin and light.

"Are you guys seeing what I'm seeing?" Luke laughed.

"I think we're a little underdressed."

People sat in groups at tables, laughing and sharing drinks. One lady walked through a ghost, immediately apologizing after.

"Whoa! I thought these people were all going to be ghosts," Reggie confessed.

"These are all lifers," Willie explained.

"Oh, uh, lifers are actually--"

"Alive people," Reggie cut Alex off. "I was listening."

"But this is a very exclusive crowd," Willie continued. "Everybody here has, uh, paid a lot to get a sneak peek at the afterlife."

"I always knew rich people did weird stuff like this," I laughed as I continued to admire the place.

"Lady and gentlemen," a waiter with a white suit introduced, "I have a table for you."

He guided us through the crowd of people, "Right this way."

We found our table and sat promptly, with me staying close to Reggie. Sure, this place was cool, but I still wasn't trusting of this. I mean, there's lifers, pretty girls, and a mysterious guy who can probably make us visible to Bobby. Which, I don't see why we need that anymore. Why can't we just invite Bobby to the ghost club so we could confront him here? I mean, he has the money.

"Okay," Luke interrupted my thoughts. "So who's gonna make us visible so we can confront our old bandmate?"

"Oh no, no. None of these lifers have the power to do that," Willie replied. "Oh, but here comes the ghost who does." He turned to the stage as lights began to lower.

A voice boomed thorugh the club.

"Ladies and gentlemen, back from the dead by popular demand, please welcome Caleb Covington!"

A man appeared at the top of the stage, surrounded by dancers and a band. The crowd cheered loudly; obviously this man was performer, and a great one at that.

"Did you miss me?" Caleb smiled.

"Oh yeah!"

"I did too!" he responded proudly.
