Until we heal

June was covered in her own blood and filth.

But she was there, looking at her.

June frowned and tears ran down her face.

She hadn't recognized Rhaella.

She couldn't blame her...
The new crown hid her face and her armour was covered in blood and dirt, making it unrecognizable.

Rhaella took off her crown and let it fall to the floor.

She didn't care if it broke.

Not now.

June chuckled and cried harder.

"Hello bitch." June said between sobs.

Rhaella ran outside and screamed for a medic.

The man came rushing down the stairs.

"My Queen, are you hurt?" He asked.

Rhaella dragged him to June's cell and the man got to work.

"I think the others are alive..." June said.

Rhaella took a step back, tears running down her cheeks and rushed to the other doors.

Kalta was in the next cell, unconscious. But alive.

Maxa was bleeding to much and was barely breathing. But she was alive, for now.

Lysander was delirious in his cell. He was in a corner, barely conscious.

In that same cell, Lorcan lied.

Rhaella halted.

He was lying there.

And he was dead.

Lorcan was dead.

Rhaella rushed to his side and checked for a pulse, for anything.
His face was already starting to rotten.

She went to Lysander's side and grabbed his face, checking for injuries.

They were all awfully injured.

Another doctor came and took care of Maxa.

Some other doctor was with Kalta.

They came and took Lysander to the nursery, leaving the Queen alone with Lorcan's body.

She stayed there for who knows how long, crying over his body.

Rhaella cursed at herself and pulled at her hair.
She had waited too long.
She hadn't been with him long enough.

She had never told him she loved him.

And now, she never would.

When Rhaella was able to control her breathing, she went to the nursery.

"I'm sorry." A doctor said in front of the door. "I can't let you go through."

"Open those doors." She whispered. "That's an order from your Queen."

The doctor hesitated, but ended up opening the doors for her.

All her friends were unconscious, except for June.

"We drugged them so they wouldn't feel pain, but miss Kudret refused." The doctor explained.

Rhaella almost ran to where June was lying and hugged her softly so that she wouldn't hurt her.

They both broke down as soon as they reached each other's arms.
