---------------------------------------

Malo had spent the better part of 5 hours ensuring that her mind-wiped super soldier stayed calm. Agitation was thick in the air and it trickled down into Zaštitnik's mood in their cell. With his head in her lap, his body draped across the cot, she brushed her hands through his hair. Absentmindedly, she began singing a song she pulled out of nowhere.

Kiša pada, trava raste, gora zeleni

Kiša pada, trava raste, gora zeleni.

U toj gori raste drvo tanko visoko

U toj gori raste drvo tanko visoko.

Pod njim sedi moja seja, a ja pored nje

Pod njim sedi moja seja, a ja pored nje.

She had no idea where she'd heard it before, but it was calming for both of them. That was all that mattered. She wanted him to sleep, but the stubborn soldier refused to close his eyes more than a few minutes at a time. Malo had been humming mindlessly when Miller sprinted down the hall, stopping in front of their cell. He fiddled with the keys, struggling to unlock the door.

"What's going on?" Malo asked. Zaštitnik sat up, his right hand resting on her thigh.

"The Captain got away. Don't know how we missed it, but it's possible that he's going to stop one of our plans. We need the asset to guard some of our helicarriers to ensure they make it in the air," Miller explained. He managed to get the door unlocked and waved them out of the cell.

"What's on the helicarriers that the Captain is trying to stop?"

"We have a way to eliminate all threats in a fell swoop. They are most likely going to put a stop to it." He rushed them through the hall and up the stairs, where Izak stood waiting for them. He held a weapons bag and Malo's med bag in each hand.

"How do we even know that he's going after these helicarriers?" Malo wondered.

"Of course he's going to be there. It would make Hydra nearly unstoppable. They don't want us to succeed," Izak answered. Around them, other Hydra agents were running around, near chaos ensuing in the base.

"The plan is going to be a little different than normal," Miller explained as they packed themselves into a car. "The asset will go in on his own. We are going to stay in a nearby building, just outside of the entrance to the Triskelion."

"The what?" Malo interrupted.

"The Tri-it's the building that's launching the Helicarriers. Malo, you'll wait with us as we try to keep anyone else from entering the helicarriers that shouldn't be there."

"You already said that."

"Then stop interrupting me!"

She had never seen Miller angry, let alone upset with her. That uneasy feeling was growing stronger and she allowed her Zaštitnik to pull her onto his lap and nearly crush her to his chest. The pivotal moment was near, they could feel it. Whether this was the end or beginning of something they weren't sure.

"The asset can jump out here and make his way to the helicarriers. We'll be around the other side of the lake. If you need any assistance, be sure to contact us," Izak stated. He stopped the car and waited for Zaštitnik to get out.

But the super soldier was hesitant. He didn't want to leave his miere. Sensing his uncertainty, Izak stepped out of the car and walked around to the back passenger door. It flung open, once again shocking Malo with how aggressive Izak looked.
