I went inside some kind of a bonus room, maybe a chance to find another one of those Chaos Emeralds somewhere.
These mazes confuses me with the twists and turns all throughout the place, even the background still made me dizzy but I can still see.
Vector: Ugh... I better not get dizzy after going through mazes like this.
I smash my way through by breaking the blocks that are changing color, allowing me to get through and grab the Second Chaos Emerald.
