His hat cast a shadow on his face
"How far you've fallen is a disgrace."
His words cut deep
But I had no tears left to weep.
"Funny words, coming from the walking dead."
That's when he released me.

"What are you doing here in BG?
Let me guess it's that deadbeat brother
You came to see.
I doubt, in your condition,
you came for Josie.
I do feel sorry for that girl
She's bound to be
left all alone in this world."
My anger toward him unfurled.
A blow to the stomach,
a smack to the face
So hard, my handprint left a trace.
All Billy did was grin at me.
"Did you come to see, Ruechari?
Are you planning on
becoming just like me?
Oh, the irony."
I know he spoke of a time before.
When he and I were not at war.
When we were lovers, even friends
However, that time had to end.
I drew the line,
Swore I'd never become
A soulless creature
Like he had done.
Now I'm standing here
In total shame
