Chapter 6

After Harry drives we talk a bit about him and his childhood.And then we reach my house.
"That is it."I say
"Lets enter."He says and we get out of the car.
As we reach the door Harry holds my hand and I smile I knock and my mom opens.
"Kate."She gasps
"Yeah I.....I am sorry mum I was selfish."I say and hug her
"No sweety I am sorry I shouldn't have lied to you."She hugs back
Harry scoffs
"Ummm mum this is Harry."I say and she shakes his hand
"I am Kate's ummm."He looks at me
"Friend"I say and he nods
"Oh...Nice to meet you Harry."She smiles
"You too Mrs.Jones."He says
"Oh please call me Sandra."She says
And he smiles
"Oh please come in."She says and we follow her
"Sweety Kyle is almost here and if you want I will end everything now."She says and I look at Harry
"No mum I would love to meet him maybe finally repair a family."I say and Harry smiles
"Thank you honey you won't regret this."She hugs me
"Harry would you like to stay?"Mom asks
"I don't want to intrude."He says
"Please."I say
"Oh dear a friend of Kate's is family."She smiles
"Umm sure."He smiles
"Come on Kate lets prepare dinner."Mum calls for me
"One sec."I say to Harry and he sits
I enter the kitchen and help mum
"So your friend looks nice."She says
"Yes mum friend."I say and she giggles
"I will put these in the living room."She holds some plates
she went to talk to Harry I know it
I walk slowly to hear them.
"Thank you for bringing her back ."She says
"And taking care of her."She continues
"It was no problem Kate means alot to me and I don't like seeing her hurt."Harry says
"Well Harry when ever you need anything or feel bored visit us...I usually don't like Kate's friends but you seem different."She says
"Thanks Sandra."He says
That was so nice
I try to go the the kitchen but my foot hit the door.
"Well well well."Harry says and mom crosses her hands.
"Kate E..."She laughs
"Don't dare finish my middle name."I threatn playfully
"What is her middle name?"Harry smirks
"Its Evangelline."Mom says
"Mom."I whine
"Evangelline."Harry smirks
"If you tell anyone I swear styles I wil......."I giggle and the bell rings
"They are here how do I look."Mom rushes to the door
"Fine mom just open."I say and she does
A man enters and lools appealing.
"Hey Kyle come in."Mom says
"Sandra how are you love."Kyle hugs my mom
"I am fine."She smiles
"This is my duaghter Kate and her friend Harry."She says and Kyle shakes my and Harry too.
"Come in don't stand by the door."Mom said
We all enter the dinning room in silence.After eating dinner and Kyle thanking us and talking for a bit we all sit in the living room and get to know each other.
"So Kate what do you want to be?"Kyle asks
"A director."I say
"That is nice and you Harry? "He asks
"I don't know ."He simply says
"Were you married?"The question leaves my mouth
"Kate."Mom glances
Please Sandra let her ask...Yeas sweaty but she died early...with cancer along with my kid in her."He says
"I am sorry sir."I say
"It is okay...Emily and jack are in abetter place now."He says
"I will make tea."Mom says leaving us
"She was pregnant and about to give birth to Jack but died from cancer."He explains
"I am truly sorry Kyle. "I say
It is okay...kate your mum made my heart beat again and I know you feel like I am stealing her but.....I love her ."He says
"That is all I wanted to hear to make sure that she will be okay."I smile
"You know she saves tons of lives during her day and she saved mine too."He smiles
"Kyle you are an amazing person."I say
"And Kate I do respect your dad he will always be with us we will never forget him and I will take you everyday to visit his grave."He says
"Oh my dad doesn't have a grave hud body was never found after war..."I say
"Oh I am sorry I didn't know that."He says
"I...I just wanted to know that you will respect us and my dad.And you proved it."I smile
"Thanks Kate I would never hurt you or your mum."He says
"You better not."Harry playfully says
"So...are you Kate's boyfriend?"Kyle smiles
"Ummm kind of we are in a start."He smiles
"Oh...then you better not hurt my Daug...I mean Kate."He corrects himself
"No worries about that."Harry holds my hand
"Tea is ready....."Mom enters
"I see you are laughing."She smiles
"Yeah Kyle is cool."I say
"I am happy to hear that."She sits
"Well Sandra I took Kate's and Harry's aprovel to do this..."He takes a small red box from his pocket
"Sandra Jones will you marry me?"He says and my mom gasps... she looks at me and I nod
"Yes a thousand time yes."She hugs him and he places the ring on her finger
"I love you."She says
"I love you too."He smiles
"Congrats."I say
"Thank you sweety."She smiles
"Comeon Kyle lets have a little man to man talk."Harry smirks and Kyle laugh they both walk to the kitchen.
"Thank you honey you won't regret this."She hugs me
"Lets go hear the little man talk."She giggled
As we walk to the kitchen we hear laughing I look to see Harry and Kyle.
We enter and I stand by Harry
"Don't tell me you are on his side?"I laugh at Kyle
And we all have an amazing night watching movies and playing games
After two hours Kyle decides to leave
*At the door*
"I haf so much fun tonight I felt like I have a family."He says
"Me too...I will see you tomorrow at work."Mom says and enters the living room.
"Well I should get going now."Harry says
"Okay...be careful."Mom says and I walk him to the door.
"Thank you for everything."I kiss him on his cheeck
"No... thank you Kate."He returns the gesture
"Good night."He says and walks out
"Night."I say and close the door.
"What a day."Mom huffs
"Yeah I will go to sleep I am tired."I say
"Sleep well."She says
I go upstairs and change then jump on my bed
That is what I love about mum we always but our fights behind us
And by that I drift to sleep
