The new employee

Chap 15

Y/n POV :
Lydia and I are in the car heading to the Olsen Mansion to meet the girls. The drive was so long because Lydia kept telling me how much she was looking forward to meeting them. I just nodded as I didn't really share her enthusiasm about this evening knowing full well that the twins had something planned.
Somehow we arrived at the mansion, I parked and we walked to the door, rang the bell and waited for someone to open.

A few seconds later, we are greeted by Scarlett followed by Zoe and the twins. Lydia had stars in her eyes, she looked like a child it was very funny, I mean it's not every day you have the chance to meet Scarlett aka Natasha, Zoe aka Gamora and the Olsen twins at the same time. They took their stuff and we separated in 2 groups.

Obviously I ended up with MK and Scarlett while Lydia ended up with with Zoe and Ashley. We drove to the restaurant, parked and I have to tell you that the restaurant is just amazing. Since there are some surfing decorations it's normal that I like it but it's not only that, the view is just beautiful. Our table was located in front of the beach where we could see the sun setting.

The dinner it is rather well to pass, they asked questions like:
How old are you, what do you do for living, how did you meet...
After paying the bill MK proposed to go for a walk on the beach. I can see that for the moment Lydia had a good time because she never stops smiling. Nevertheless I am still suspicious of the twins because I am convinced that they are up to something. Since Zoe and Lydia were walking ahead, I took the opportunity to ask Scarlett and the twins.

"By the way, does Elizabeth know that you are going out with me and Lydia ?" I ask them
"Uh, well no" Ashley replies avoiding my gaze
"Can I ask why ?" I question her starting to lose a little patience
"It's because..." Ashley starts
"Lizzie had a date tonight and we had nothing to do. So we thought it would be fun to do something with you and Lydia" Scarlett finishes

When Scarlett said the word date, my heart clenched, my breathing quickened and I felt like I was going to fall apart. I don't understand why I feel this way when we're not even together. It takes me a few seconds before I speak again.

"That's cool and what's the name of the lucky guy ?" I question her with a slightly laugh
"His name is Robbie" MK answers me. "She met him a few days ago when she went to the coffee shop"
"I'm happy for her" I try to tell them knowing that I think the opposite

After this lovely discussion, we went back to our cars then I took Scarlett and MK to the mansion. Now I'm in the car with Lydia and I get to ask her what Zoe and Ashley asked her about.

"So how was the night ?" I ask
"It was fun but I don't think we can see each other anymore. At least not right now" she throws me
"WHAT ??! What do you mean we can't see each other anymore !? I question her totally confused by what she just told me
"When I was in the car with Ashley and Zoe, we talked. They told me how close you and Lizzie are even though you're not together anymore. They also made it clear to me, especially Ashley, that she would rather see you date  her sister than me. So I prefer take a break for the moment" she answers me with a slight touch of sadness in the voice

"What disappoint me in this story is not the fact that you don't want to see me anymore. No. It's the fact that you prefer to believe people you just met. Personally I don't see what this break is going to do but if that's what you want then I guess I don't really have a choice. I answer her with eyes filled with tears
"I'm sorry but I want you to know that I had a great time with you" she said and gave me a kiss on the cheek before getting out of the car.

I got home and put and episode of Gilmore Girls (it's a show I like to put on when I'm not in a good mood). "Monday, they're going to hear me. I'm getting tired of them meddling in things that don't concern them" I think.

Lizzie POV:
I arrived at the bar 10min late so I hurried out of the car and into the bar. Luckily for me it wasn't full so I could easily spot Robbie who had moved to a corner away from the others. I walked over to him and sat down.

"I'm sorry, I'm late. I hope you haven't been here long" I ask him
"No, don't worry" he answer me with a smile. "By the way, I put myself in this corner because I remember that in one of your interviews you explained that you had social anxiety"
"Wow, thank you. I really appreciate it"
"No problem. Maybe we should order" he suggested

While the waiter prepared our drinks, we got to know each other and I must admit that besides being handsome, he is very funny and nice.

"I'm really sorry that you never heard one of my band's song" he says to me with an offended look
"I'm sorry but I've never heard any Milo Greene song. But I promise you that when I get home, I will listen to them" I said laughing
"I hope so. So tell me a little about yourself now"
"I am an actress as you know and I am currently filming a new movie. I also like reading, cooking and gardening. That's about it"
"Is this a marvel movie ?" he asks me
"Maybe it is, maybe it isn't" I said with a smirk

We continued talking for several more hours before leaving the bar and heading back to our cars as it was getting late.

"I had a great time tonight, how about you ?" Robbie asks me
"Me too. It was really nice"
"Do you want to go to dinner next time ?" he suggests
"Why not. We'll set a date"
"Great" he says before giving me a kiss on the cheek and getting into his car

I felt like I was on a cloud nine. For a moment I felt like I was a teenager again who had just experienced the beginning of her first love story. If someone had seen my face, he or she would have laughed because I was turned tomato red so I hurried to get in my car before someone saw me and then I drove towards home. When I got to the mansion, I went up to my room and found the girls sitting on my bed.

"So how was it" questioned Zoe
"It was great. We went to a really nice bar, had a few drinks and talked a lot. I found out he was in band called Milo Greene and most importantly before he left he kissed me on the cheek" I tell them with stars in my eyes and huge smile
"That's great, I'm so happy for you Lizzie" Scarlett tells me
"We told you it would be your turn" says MK
"By the way what did you do tonight ?" I ask them
"Nothing, we watched TV and gossiped as usual" replies Ashley
"If you don't mind, I'd like to go to bed" I say
"No worries. Good night Lizzie" they tell me before going to their rooms.
