The rest of January was good, Ashley and I were doing very good, I think it’s safe to say the old Ashley is back. It was now February and today Ashley was coming to fetch me to visit him, for a day only, he was going to bring me back later. So, we got to his place, it was the first time I came since we broke up. We were sitting in the living room and he was rubbing my feet
Ashley: Thanks for coming
Me: You welcome
Ashley: So, next month our baby is coming
Me: Yes, are you ready?
Ashley: I have always been ready, are you?
Me: I don’t know, what I do know though is that I’m scared, I heard people saying labour pains are no child’s play
Ashley: You will be fine, I will be by your side the whole time
Me: Thanks
Ashley: And I know you can handle and take labour pains like a champ, like you took the pain of breaking your virginity like a champ
Me: [Laughing] Please don’t remind me
Ashley: [Laughing] Okay sorry, I really missed this
Me: I missed this too, when I lost you, I lost my best friend too
Ashley: Babe you will never lose me, I don’t know what got into me last year
For some reason, I started crying, is it still heartbreak or hormones?
Ashley: I’m really sorry for everything Nosipho, I wish I could take everything that I did back, I hate myself for what I did to you
Me: [Crying] You really hurt me Ashley
Ashley: I know and I’m really sorry, I’m trying my best to make it up to you
He came closer and hugged me, I was just holding on to him, crying, I guess I was crying because I have been waiting to hear those words for a while now
Ashley: I’m sorry, please don’t cry
I wiped my tears off
Ashley: I promise you that something like that will never happen again, I will never hurt you again
Me: I hope you mean it
Ashley: I do, I will do everything to make you happy again, so do you forgive me?
Me: I do
Ashley: I love you
Me: I love you too
