The rest of the week was boring, people are starting to see that I’m pregnant and they are asking, including my teachers and classmates, and I told them that I am pregnant indeed because I can’t hide it anymore, my stomach is getting bigger and my uniform is getting very tight, I couldn’t even pull up the zip on my school skirt and even though I had  money in my account, I didn’t want to buy anything until my mom and I fix things, I don’t want to act like I’m enjoying being pregnant and happy about it in her face, even though now I’m really starting to enjoy being pregnant and I’m excited, but Tumi was more excited than me and Ashley, both she and Ashley were my greatest support, my mom still wasn’t speaking to me

Today is Saturday, the day my aunt and uncle go to Ashley’s place, I gave them directions to Ashley’s house and they went alone, leaving me and my mom behind, I was so scared for Ashley because I know how they can get especially my aunt. Later that day Ashley called me

Me: Hey, are you okay?

Ashley: Yeah, I’m good, how are you and the baby?

Me: We are fine, what happened? What did my aunt and uncle say?

Ashley: They asked to see my father, so I told him and he said he will come on Saturday

Me: I guess they didn’t believe me when I told them that you live alone, is that all they said?

Ashley: Your aunt was asking questions about my age, why didn’t we use a condom and stuff like that, oh and she also told me that I ruined your future

Me: Yep, that sounds like her

Ashley: I’m really tired of all of this, I just want this phase to be over and done with, I actually can’t wait for the part where we go and buy clothes and stuff for our kid and find out the gender, I just can’t wait for the happy part where your family is fine with everything, you know

Me: I know, I also can’t wait for that part, I mean right now my mom is not talking to me, I can’t even sit in the same room with her anymore

Ashley: That sucks, I don’t want all of this to affect my baby, the doctor said stress is not good for the baby

Me: I know but I can’t stop stressing, this is just too much

Ashley: We’ll get through this, me, you and the baby

Me: Hope we do

Ashley: I need to do something, I will call you later

Me: Okay cool

After that call I did my homework, I had to work very hard at school, I already disappointed my mother with the pregnancy, I don’t want to disappoint her with my marks as well.

Later that night Tumi came to sleep at my house. We were sitting in my room

Tumi: Your mom is still giving you the silent treatment?

Me: Yep

Tumi: She’ll come around though, she’s just hurt

Me: I know

Tumi: So how is my baby doing? Do you feel him/her?

Me: The baby is fine, not kicking yet, I just feel like I’m getting bigger every day, I feel heavy, fat and tired all the time

Tumi: Mrs Maseko called me and asked me if you were pregnant and I said I don’t know

Me: Those teachers like gossiping, I have also been asked by some teachers and I confirmed it because I can’t hide the pregnancy anymore

Tumi: Yeah now you are showing

This pregnancy is really tiring, both emotionally and physically
