Today was the day I had to face everyone at school after what happened yesterday. When I got to school, it was way too awkward, I could hear everyone talking behind my back, it was just a nightmare. I went straight to class and sat down, Tumi came in and sat next to me

Tumi: Friend I’m sorry

Me: It’s fine friend, I’m the one who should apologise, I over reacted yesterday, I’m sorry

Tumi: Yay, so does this mean the braai thing is on again?

Me: No, I forgive Ashley, I know he was just looking out for me but I’m not going to let him off the hook that easy, I need him to understand that if I say no I mean it, I told him not to do anything to Thapelo but he went ahead, you can still go though

Tumi: I’m not going anywhere without you but I understand your reason for not wanting to go, so I guess we are sitting this one out

I showed Tumi Ashley’s message

Tumi: Nosi that’s so sweet, I wish I had someone who loved me the way that he loves you, someone who would risk going to prison for fighting for me, friend I respect your decision and I think it’s very valid and reasonable but I hope when you come around it won’t be too late because I would hate to see you lose the right person for you because of this

Before I could say anything, the teacher walked in

Teacher: Nosipho go to the principal’s office, he wants to see you

I was so scared thinking that I’m gonna get suspended or expelled or when I walk in that office I was gonna see my mother, now that’s the worst-case scenario, when I got to the principal’s office he was alone

Me: Good morning sir

Principal: Sit down

He wasn’t even smiling

Principal: Do you have any idea of what you did?

Me: No sir

Principal: Do you want to tell me that you did nothing wrong?

Me: Yes sir

Principal: So, you think calling your thugs to come attack one of my students is nothing?

Me: I didn’t call them

Principal: And the nerve you have to come here with your attitude

Me: I’m sorry sir

Principal: You are lucky that this young man didn’t press any charges

Why was Thapelo suddenly the victim?

Principal: What do you have to say for yourself?

Me: Nothing sir

Principal: I believe that this kind of incident will never happen again, if it does I will be forced to expel you, I won’t allow such to happen in my school

Me: I’m sorry Sir, this will never happen again

Principal: Good, go back to class

I was so relieved that there won’t be any consequences for Ashley’s actions
