Chapter 47-My Happily Ever After

Nicholas's POV

"Have you been well?" she asked me and in response i just nodded, unable to form words

We stared at each other for some time, our eyes never breaking contact

"are you finally back?" I asked her the question i was longing to know the answer to

"yes" she said and smiled. My heart sighed in relief as i felt my shoulders getting light

"why are you back?" I asked her a little annoyed

How in the first place could she leave me?

She looked at me with an expressionless face and i figured out she was asking me to elaborate

"I mean in the letter you said the deal had ended and so had our relationship" i said and she sighed

"I thought it was the right thing to do at that time" she spoke with a little sadness

"what made you come back then?" I asked her

"you" she said softly. I blinked my eyes at her, as my mind battled within if it heard right or no

Was she really back because of me?

"I missed you" she said softly and i looked at her.

My heart was beating wildly inside my chest and I wasn't sure of what to do. Unfamiliar feelings surrounded my heart making me feel nervous

she smiled looking at me but stayed quiet, probably giving me time

"Me too, you've been on my mind ever since you left" i said softly with a warm gaze

Her smile faded a little as she considered my words but then the smile was back

"thats a little hard to believe" she said letting out a soft laugh, leaning in a little and narrowing her eyes at me

She pulled back and sighed looking in front to the trees. She walked past me to the trees and i stood there unsure of what to do next

Suddenly, a feeling took over my heart and i realized this was it. No more games.

I turned around and walked towards her, she was walking with her back on my sight

I pulled her hand and turned her around not giving her enough time to react

I closed the gap between us pulling her in as my lips crashed on hers

I placed a hand on her jaw as i kissed her with everything inside of me

Her hand slid down my arm as she kissed me back

we kissed passionately for some time until i pulled back

"do you believe me now?" i asked her and soon heat rushed to her face as she lowered it in embarrassment

i placed my hand on her chin pulling her gaze up making her look into my eyes.

"i am in love with you, Isabella Torres" i said to her but she just looked at me with a strange look on her face

"i-" she bit her lip unsure of what to say

"I love you too Nicholas Cadogan" she said after some time and then pulled me closer for a kiss

She pulled back shortly and placed her forehead against mine closing her eyes

The beauty of the moment seemed too fragile and i was afraid of it to end

Later we headed to a place where Isabella wanted to visit.

we walked in between the graves until she found the one she wanted

She placed a flower on the grave and traced her hand on the gravestone as i stood behind her

She lowered her head for a few seconds but pull herself together

"who could've known the stars could look even better? But i guess they have you in them now" she spoke looking at the stone, her eyes gleaming with the tears that threatened to fall

She quickly stood up and we walked out of the graveyard silently and then stood beside the car

The stars shone brightly and I wondered if he was also looking at me from up there.

I breathed out and looked around me to the peaceful night as the night mourned with us and the guilt inside our hearts 

I pulled myself together and then looked at Isabella, she had seemed to calm down and so i hugged her from behind, placing my head in the crook of her neck

She kept her warm hands on top of mine as she laughed

"isn't it crazy to think that it all started with a contract?" I softly spoke as i recalled our cafe conversation

She nodded in disagreement pulling herself away from my embrace then turning around to face me

"it all started on that night we met" she whispered leaning towards my ear

she wrapped her hands around me and i held her close as i grabbed the chance for my happily ever after
