Chapter 24-Mafia Woman

Nicholas's POV
i speed through the highway in an attempt to get there before the hour is over

3 hours earlier

"They kidnapped my family as their response" i say angrily as i crumble the picture of my family tied up in ropes

"Wait where's your mom?" Isabella asks me and i unfold the pictures to look for my mom but don't find her

"you're right, it's only Silas,Jenny and Dad" I say as the puzzle pieces start to form in my head 

I quickly pick up my phone and dial Carlos's number

"Carlos i need you to track someone's phone right now" i say to him and end the call

On the other hand, i dial my men to gather more information

I soon get an address for where they could be and I quickly run towards the door

I suddenly get a call from an unknown number and stop short

"Hello?" I say to the phone and hear some ruffling and shouting

"Who's this?" I ask as i turn the phone to speaker and Isabella walks over

"Hello Nicholas" The voice speaks to me and Isabella arches her eyebrow

She gestures me to track the live phone call address and i nod in agreement

She quickly texts Carlos the number and he soon sends us another address

"Which one of it is it?" She makes words and i shrug my shoulders

"Nicholas you have an hour, come and get your family or else-"

"Or else what you blood-" i say as i grip the phone in my hand

"Or else this" the man says and i hear a gunshot behind with the screaming of a man simultaneously

"Silas" Isabella gasps and i widen my eyes.

"Your time starts now. Tick tock" the man says and ends the call laughing hysterically

"Which one is it?" I ask Isabella who looks between the addresses

"This one's two hours away and this one's 50 minutes away" she says looking at the laptop in front of her and i get confused

"Wait if he gave you an hour then it means its the one with 50 minutes" she says

"But what if he was trying to trick us" i say as i find the logic behind it

"Then he wouldn't have called you. He called you because he wasn't planning to kill them. However, he wanted to threaten you and get you confused" she says calmly and her words start to make more sense

Without wasting a second, i run through the door and into the car as i drive out of the driveway

I call Carlos and my men to ask them to follow the other address

That drive of 50 minutes makes it the most miserable 50 minutes of my life ever.

Soon i get out of the city and see another warehouse partly similar to the one i burned down

The warehouse is going along the sea shore

"This has to be it" i say looking at the warehouse and see armed men standing in front

"How do i get in" i speak to myself and my phone vibrates that very second

"There's a back entrance to the warehouse that has only two guards guarding it. Use that" I read the text and look around to see anyone

"Who even sent me that?" I say but quickly grab my gun with anger rushing through my blood

They fucking shot my brother, i am not going to spare them

I move around from the back entrance, and to my surprise, the door is partially broken with only two armed guards and no one else

I move behind the guards and make a sound, while one of them goes to check it i go behind the other one and snap his neck to death

The first guard turns to look at me but I'm afraid he gets too late

I stab him with the knife in the heart and without taking the knife out, i make my way inside the door into the broken building as the guard behind me falls to his knees bleeding heavily

I look to my surroundings as i enter the floor to see a dark building with broken floor that make a noise every time you take a step

Without wasting any time, i apply my logics and intuition and soon find a approachable door for my guts to work out

I open the door and see 2 people tied to chairs with heavy ropes

I look around and see no one so i tip toe my way to them

i look at jenny who is pretty much awake and she tries to make a sound but i silence her

I quickly untie her ropes and help her get out of them. She hugs me desperately, her body shivering horribly and i give her a second to calm down

As soon as she pulls herself together, we untie my dad's ropes and get him back conscious

"Nicholas" my dad says as he sighs in relief and i look at him checking for any wounds

"Jenny take him and get out of here" i say to Jenny and she quickly gets up holding my dad and makes her way out

I walk behind them with a gun in my hand but we hopefully don't find men to deal with

They only held hostages here thats why there's barely men guarding it

As soon as Jenny makes her way to my car i go back inside to check for my brother but don't find him

I aimlessly stand in the big spacious hallway outside the doors to think of my next step when suddenly

"NICHOLAS" Silas shouts and i turn to him to look at him

He's all rinsed in blood there's so much blood around his forehead and leg that it starts boiling my blood with anger

"Who did that to you" i say as i walk to him and look at him worriedly

"Nicholas" Silas says as his gaze drifts behind me and i feel someone's presence behind me

"Happy reunion" the person behind me says in a heavy voice and then places a gun on my head

"In heaven" he says as he loads the gun. I look at my brother and close my eyes, I can't risk him right now

The sound of gunshot fills the room and i think i am feeling pain but to my surprise, I don't feel pain

I place a hand behind my head to feel and see no blood or anything

The man behind me falls to the ground and i turn around to see immense blood pouring out of his chest

I look in front of me to see Isabella holding out a gun panting heavily
