No One's POV:

Zane had failed. The pill meant to shrink the Overlord went inside of Pythor's stomach and he shrunk instead. Pythor slithered off to somewhere while uttering barely heard squeaks that Zane barely made out as curses. The Overlord flung Zane away and he crashed into a corner store. Zane looked in horror as he saw that his left arm was entirely gone, only wires that sparked occasionally were left. "DAMN BOT!" The Overlord yelled out. Lloyd looked at his team, Jay and Nya attempting to repair Zane's arm but having no luck, Kai and Cole were blasting enemies off in an attempt to cover Jay, Nya, and a now armless Zane. He looked at Kai who looked at him. He took his hood off. He knew that it was the only way to save his friends, his family. A sad smile showed on his face as he recalled all the memories that they had made together. "Kai?" Lloyd asked, looking at Kai, his brother, who looked at him. "Yeah?" Kai asked, looking a little scared, he punched a bot off of him, and looked at Lloyd whose jade green eyes glowed from his power. "I have a plan, but it will have consequences. I'm sorry." Lloyd said. He ran off towards the Overlord. "LLOYD NO!" Kai screamed. His team looked helpless at Lloyd who had already grabbed a hold on the Overlord. His team kept screaming out his name. Lloyd just cried and smiled, he looked at the Overlord. Fear was gone in his eyes, only raging fury was left as he activated his regular green energy ball. "THIS ENDS NOW OVERLORD!" Lloyd yelled and charged up his element. "DAMN FOOL! YOU'LL DIE! AND KILL US BOTH!" The Overlord screamed. "AT LEAST I'LL PROTECT NINJAGO!" Lloyd yelled out.

"Lloyd!" Kai yelled out. The others had already dragged a crying and yelling Garmadon down into the sewers. "Let's go Kai! This place is going to blow!" Nya screamed out. She pulled him in the sewer with her power. They held him down so he couldn't run out and get himself killed. They all peaked through. Lloyd was glowing and a green energy ball that was larger than normal, surrounded by Overlord and Lloyd. We closed the manhole and then a large boom sounded, and we all sighed. They looked out. "It's clear!" Cole said. They all ran out and searched around the area, desperate for any sign that Lloyd was still alive. They saw a large crater where Lloyd and Overlord were when the explosion happened. The Overlord's helmet lay on the ground and there was zero sign of the Overlord. But there was also no sign of Lloyd either. Civilians helped the ninja in their search but after a long time had passed, they concluded he was gone as well. The only thing they found was the ripped off piece of his hood. "This is my fault! If I hadn't missed it, Lloyd would still be here." Zane said, clutching his shoulder where his arm had been ripped off. He looked to the ground, refusing to meet anyone's gaze. "Zane, it's not your fault, if anything we could have all tried harder." Nya said and cried.

"Today we mourn Ninjago's savior. Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon saved us all. And now he's gone. His selfless acts lead us to tomorrow. He was a student, a ninja, a son. And a brother." Wu said. They all paid their respects to Lloyd's memorial before leaving. "I can't believe he's gone." Kai said, crying. They had never seen Kai cry before, so it was awkward when they tried to comfort him.

MONTHS LATER...

No One's POV:

With Zane...

Zane was determined to bring the team back together. It would be easy for Cole and Jay who were easy to persuade, Kai would be harder, Nya would probably go with it when she learned that people robbed her old home. He was at Cole and Jay's apartment. He knocked. Cole opened the door and was shocked to see Zane at the door. "Zane?" Cole asked. Zane, who with the help of Pixal, turned the rest of himself into titanium metal for his exterior. He had also upgraded a few things. "Yes Cole, it's me." Zane said. "Well don't you look shiny!" Jay said from the background. Zane smiled. "We need the team back." Zane said going straight to business as usual. "I don't know. We kind of quit." Jay said. Cole looked uncertain. He looked lost in thoughts before brightening, a smile on his face. "You know what! Lloyd wouldn't want this! We never quit! Where do we start Zane!" Cole said. "Hey! Don't I get an opinion?!" Jay shouted from behind Cole. "Not now Jay!" Cole said. Jay grumbled. "Meet me at Chen's Noodle house tomorrow night at 8:30." Zane said. Cole and Jay nodded, and Zane left.

With Nya and Zane...

"No." Nya said. "Come on Nya!" Zane pleaded. "I said no! My powers and skills aren't enough, they weren't enough to save Lloyd!" Nya shouted but instantly regretted it when she saw Zane's sad face. She knew Zane didn't like anyone shouting at him. "I'm sorry Zane, but I just don't think I can." Nya said apologetically. "It's okay, but crime is high right now, someone even robbed your store of all metal." Zane said. That got Nya's attention. "How much do I have to do to get the bastard?" Nya said water around her rose and turned sharp as needles. "Meet me at Chen's Noodle House at 8:30 tomorrow night."

With Kai and Zane...

"I said no!" Kai said, trying to get Zane to leave. "Come on Kai! Someone robbed your shop! Shoplifted from Borg tower, and even PICK POCKETED YOU!" Zane raised his voice which knocked some sense into Kai. "If you change your mind, do this for Lloyd, meet me at Chen's Noodle House tomorrow night at 8:30." Zane sighed and left. "I guess I can only hope they come." Zane thought out loud after he left Kai.
