It was pretty.

Nodding, he picks another dress amongst all the others before lifting it up to show me. "Thoughts?"

I scan my eyes over the attire that was in his hands. "I don't think I wanna wear a dress."

"Oh right." Trying to be as careful as he could, he returns the dress back into its place, making sure he didn't mess up any of the other ones near it.

Just as he was about to open his mouth to speak, Evelyn's voice beamed through practically the whole store making us turn around. With her hand in her brother's, she skipped towards us smiling.

"Autumn, Kaden! L-l-look at this d-dress m-me and Atlas g-g-got!"

I smile and walk towards her before kneeling down to meet her level. She takes a red dress out of the paper bag and holds it up for me to see.

"I-it's red t-t-too!" It's almost impossible to be in a shitty mood around someone who's so bright and has that brightness radiating off of them every second of the day, making everyone around them feel instantly better.

"You must really like the colour red huh?"

She nods and tries to return the dress into the paper bag but struggles.

Noticing that her sister was struggling to put it back in, Atlas bends down before neatly folding it up for her so that it fits into the bag. "Better?"

Nodding again, she wraps her arms around her brother's neck and pulls him into a hug. He laughs lightly before wrapping his arms around her waist, returning the gesture.

I look behind me to find Kaden standing there watching them, arms folded across his chest and his bottom lip stuck out.

"Can I join?" Atlas looks up slightly and rolls his eyes; Kaden takes that as an approval to join the hug.

I stand in the middle of the store, smiling like an idiot as I watched the three. They hug like they're the only people in the room.

Evelyn turns her head around for a split second and motions for me to come join them. Hesitantly, I walk my way towards her and wrap one arm around her before smiling.

Returning the smile, she leans her head back on her brother's shoulder.

"Why weren't we invited?" A familiar voice speaks up from behind us and we all break away from each other.

An unintentional scoff escapes my mouth as I take in sight the three idiots stood in front of us. Brady waves while Grey and Masons' arm remain glued to their sides.

"Were you told to go out and buy clothes for a dinner your attending next week?" Atlas asks sarcasm laced in his tone.

"No?" Mason answers cluelessly. Atlas stands up before taking Evelyn's hand in his and abandoning Kaden on the floor. Kaden huffs. "Why am I always being abandoned?"

"Because no one wants you." Grey rolls his eyes playfully and sticks his arm out, offering to help the brunette off the floor.

"Grey and Atlas are bullies that's why." Brady takes a random pack of sour patch kids out of his pocket before popping one into his mouth.
