Chapter 18: Sneaking Into Richmond

Y/N POV

We found out our son AJ is alive and that Joan is running a looting campaign behind everyone at Richmond. Me and Conrad killed Badger in justice for my mom and Francine. We leave the warehouse and are reunited with Clem and Jesus.

Y/N: Baby!

We run towards each other and embarrass in a hug and a kiss.

Y/N: You good?

Clem: Yeah.

David: Where's Lonnie?

Jesus: He gave us the slip. High-tailed it back towards Richmond.

David: Son of a bitch. If he warns Joan...

Clem: Wasn't there one more?

Clem: Oh...

David: What? It's good riddance...that son of a bitch nearly Mariana.

Jesus: Did that make you feel better?

David: I wouldn't shed any tears if I were you.

Jesus: Maybe I'm shedding them for your brother.

Javi: It was Y/N and Conrad.

Jesus: Did that make you two feel better?

Conrad: Fucking right it did.

Y/N: That motherfucker raped our mother and nearly killed a little girl. Are you really gonna show symphony for a fucking animal like that?

Jesus: It wasn't right.

Clem: You did the right thing babe. That bastard hurt mom.

Clem: Sometimes there's just no other way to make things right.

Clem: Y/N and our friend took crowbars to someone once.

Jesus: My people need to know about what we found here.

Javi: What about your missing friends?

Jesus: I'm not holding out much hope.

Jesus: Don't have time to keep looking. They'd want me to get home and warn them. So that's what I'm gonna do. Sooner the better.

Javi: You're a good guy, Jesus. That's rare.

Jesus: I could say the same about you.

Jesus: I won't forget about you. You have my word.

Tripp: It's a shitstorm out there, man. I don't see how you're gonna make it.

Jesus: One step at a time.

Jesus walks away.

David: We need to get back to Richmond fast. I have loved ones in there...

Javi: We both do.

Clem: We all do.

I wrap an arm around Clem's waist.

Tripp: I gotta break Eleanor out of there. Once she's safe, I... I'm gonna tell her how I feel.

Tripp: You said it yourself: if it ain't messy, it wouldn't be important, right?

Y/N: Ain't that the truth.

Clem kisses my cheek.

David: We're gonna need allies in Richmond. Lingard and Clint, they're out best bet. If I can get to them before Joan does, maybe we have a chance. I know I was ready to say goodbye before, but I can't do this without you. Can I count on you? I won't be able to pull this off myself.
