ANOMALY

"YEAH, THAT'S NOT creepy." Steve sighed as the group stood outside the old Creel house to take a look inside.

"Don't piss yourself." Irina chuckled at her boyfriend. She had Max's headphones on over one ear and pushed back on the other so she could still hear what was going on a round her.

"Ha ha. You are hilarious, babe." Steve said, sarcastically, and interlocked his fingers with hers as they all approached the house. Nancy had one of the hammers and Dustin had the other, but he looked over at Steve and held it out.

"Seriously, dude?" Steve scoffed but Dustin just grinned at him. Steve huffed and took the hammer, pulling the nails off of the wood covering the door on one side while Nancy did the other side. "So, what exactly are we supposed to be looking for in this shithole?" Steve asked.

"We're not sure." Nancy replied. "We just know this house is important to Vecna."

"Great." Steve sighed.

"Maybe it holds a clue to where Vecna is. Why he's come back. Why he killed the Creels. And how to stop him before he comes back for Irina." Dustin suggested.

"We don't think he's in here, do we?" Lucas questioned.

"I guess we'll find out." Irina sighed.

Once all the nails were off the wood, Steve and Nancy slowly let it drop to the floor. Irina took one look at the door and couldn't help but think back to yesterday, so she had to bite her lip so hard that she almost drew blood to try and suppress the horror. Steve rattled the doorknob but it didn't open.

"It's locked." Dustin groaned.

"Should I knock to see if anybody's home?" Steve asked.

"No need." Robin spoke up, holding a brick in her hand. "I found a key." She shrugged and waited until everyone was well clear before throwing it at the door, smashing the glass. Steve poked his hand through the hole and felt around for the doorknob, twisting it when he finally gripped it. The door swung open and Steve whistled at the eerie sight of it before being followed in by everyone else.

"Looks like someone forgot to pay the electric bill." Lucas said as he tried the light switch but to no avail. Dustin pulled out his torch and so did everyone else, leaving Steve looking very confused.

"Where'd everyone get those?" He asked.

"Do you need to be told everything?" Dustin questioned. "You're not a child." He added.
