Mother Knows Best Part 1

(POV:Reader)

-"There was this book," he began to explain.

-"A book I used to read every night to all the younger kids"

-"'The Tales of Flynnagan Rider'"

-"Swashbuckling rogue, richest man alive,"

-"Not too bad with the ladies, either" I gave him a look.

-"Not that he'd ever brag about it, of course" he chuckled.

-"Was he a thief, too?" I asked.

-"Uh...well, no"

-"Actually, he had enough money to do anything that he wanted to do"

-"He could go anywhere that he wanted to go"

-"And for a kid, with nothing, I don't know...I..."

-"Just seemed like the better option"

-"But you can't tell anyone about this, okay?"

-"It could ruin my whole reputation"

-"Ah! We wouldn't want that" I told him, giggling a bit.

-"A fake reputation is all a man has," I chuckled at his comment, then looked at him.

-"Well, I should..." he stood up quickly.

-"I-I should get some more firewood" he began to walk away.

-"Hey!"

-"For the record, I like Eugene Fitzherbert much better than Flynn Rider"

-"Well..."

-"Then you'd be the first, but thank you" with that said he walked away. I smiled, feeling my cheeks blush pink.

-"Well, I thought he'd never leave!" I gasped at the recognition of the voice.

-"M-mother?" I turned around to face her.

-"Hello, dear"

-"I-I...How did you find me?" she hugged me.

-"Oh, it was easy, really,"

-"I just listened for the sound of complete and utter betrayal and followed that"

-"Mother..."

-"We're going home. Now!" she let go of the hug and began to pull me away.

-"Wait! Y-you don't understand" I pulled her back.

-"I've been on this incredible journey, and I've seen and learned so much"

-"And...I even met someone"

-"Yes, the wanted thief, I'm so proud! Come on, Y/n!" she continued to pull me away.

-"Mother, wait!" I pulled away from her.

-"I think...I think he likes me"

-"Likes you? Please, Y/n, that's demented!"

-"But mother I-"

-"This is why you never should have left," she began to sing.

-"Dear, this whole romance that you've invented"

-"Just proves you're too naive to be here"

-"Why would he like you? Come on now, really"

-"Look at you!"

-"You think that he's impressed?"

-"Don't be a dummy, come stay with mummy"

-"Mother..."

-"NO!" I told her.

Had an english essay to write by tomorrow, kinda procrastinated and left it for the last day so that's what I did all afternoon. I apologize for the late chapter and thank you for your patience.
