CHAPTER TWO: ELLIOT
7:40 am
Wednesday
Morning, sweet morning. Ok that was a lie, every morning is shit. The only thing that can make a morning better is a coffee because my motto is “More espresso, less depresso.” Or at least I´m trying to live by that, but it doesn’t really work that often. Anyways I got up and got dressed, as always, I put on my binder and then the oversized hoodie. My classmates weren’t really supportive, that’s why I had to hide the binder. But that’s not important, I got dressed and ran down to my mom. She had prepared breakfast as every morning, I felt bad for throwing all of it up again in school. But I had to be thin. After eating the smallest little bit, I ran to the school bus. After a few stops a random person entered the bus, they had split dyed hair. I loved it, but I didn’t know that it would get important again. They were pretty and had a nice style. Anyways, I drove an eternity till the bus finally reached the school. My first period was French, I hated that teacher. She kept giving me weird looks, and she called me by my dead name. After French I would have biology, I remembered that there was this girl with the split dyed hair from the bus. I thought of starting a conversation with her, but I was to shy for that. Instead, I decided to skip class and go to the gender-neutral bathrooms, aka my drug spot. My friend Chris also loved to chill there, he was there for weed, but I was forced to stay quite about that. Chris agreed to skip biology, it was useless anyways. Him and I went to the library, but not to read of course but to check out some people who also skipped the periods. The school day ended as boring as it started. I just had a few more lessons and then it was time to go home. Oh, how much I hated being at home, my stepdad was the worst person ever. He hated me and doesn’t want me to live at home, he said as soon as I´m eighteen I would have to move out. That’s why I didn’t want to go there. Still after the bus ride I entered at home and immediately started playing video games with Chris. My mom came home and let me do my chores, afterwards it was already 5pm, my shift at work would start in thirty minutes. I hustled out of the house and ran to the McDonalds next to the school. I worked here to support my mom financially. My shift lasted till 10pm and as soon as I came home, I fell into my bed out of exhaustion. Now all I had to do was take my binder off, but I didn’t have the energy for that. Why couldn’t I afford top surgery, it would make things so much easier. But the money wasn’t there, so I had to get up to take that thing off. Why was my life so chaotic, and why did I have to live through this?
