The next afternoon me and mom were at home in NY just relaxing. Jay is on a business trip while Blue is in Texas with grandma Tina. So that left me and momma bey.
Bey- So how's the album coming along.
Me- I'm almost finished actually.
I popped a gummy in my mouth.
Bey- When do you wanna drop it.
Me- On my birthday. *Smiles*
Bey- Sweet 16! *Chuckles* What you wanna do?
Me- Nothing really. Just another year.
Bey- Britt... It's your 16 birthday. You're only 16 once.
Me- How about we sleep all day. *Chuckles*
Bey- No. I have something up my sleeve. This is basically your 1st birthday with me. I'm so excited.
Me- Momma... what are you going to do?
Bey- You'll see November the 4th. *smirks*
Me- Ugh... Meanwhile, what are we going to do? Everyone's gone.
Bey- Lets go for a stroll.
Me- In the car? *smiles*
Bey- No. On bikes.
Me- Mom......................................What a brilliant idea! Let's go.
I jumped up and slipped in my shoes. Mom had on ugg boots. I know she's going to get hot.
We walked out into the garage and I helped momma bey get the bikes down off the wall. We hopped on them and started riding. We rode out the gate and into the real world. There were paps waiting for us. I smiled. I was doing my best to focus on the road. I haven't rode a bike in awhile. Mother on the other hand was a pro!
Me- Mom?
Bey- Yes babe.
Me- When can I start school?
Bey- Would you rather be homeschooled or go to public school?
Me- I like public more...
Bey- But honey.. You have to think about this. I don't like the fact of you being a lone half the time... I be everywhere for so long. I left you for 15 years... I don't want you to feel like I'm abandoning you again.... If you're homeschooled you can see the world with me, Jay, and blue AND I'll have you with me and that'll put my mind at ease.
I thought about that.
Me-... I guess you have a point...... I just want to feel normal.
Bey- You are.. We are just like everyone else..... *smiles* a lot of people just know us and like us.
I laughed at mom's theory.
Me- Nice one. *Chuckles*
Bey- *Laughs* So what'd you say? Public or home?
Me- I guess home... I'll have more bed time. *Smiles*
Mom laughed.
Bey- Lord, my child is so lazy...
Me- I get it from you.
Bey- Hm. Yea. You do. *Chuckles*
Me and mom rode down a big hill laughing. I'm starting to feel at home here in NY.
