Final Chapter

Vixyn is preparing herself and didn't even blink after she mouthed "it's okay, baby." But everyone was startled when a loud shot echoed and that's the help they'd been waiting for.

Kaagad silang kumilos ni Sapphire at parehong nakipaglaban sa mga tauhan na naroon. Pagkatapos ay nilingon ang mga bata na napaupo na habang takip-takip ang mga tenga.

But Ruby's eyes got fixed on Madame who grabbed her daughter away.

"Saph, get the kids to safety. I have to go after Madame." Sigaw niya sa kapatid bago hinabol ang ginang.

Sinundan niya sa basement ang matandang babae at mabilis naman niyang naabutan.

"Give me back my daughter!" Aniya at saka hinaltak ang anak mula rito. "Get back, Seph." Utos niya sa anak na hinila papunta sa kanyang likuran.

"You're fast, Darling." Still giving her the same mocking tone. "But not that fast." Anito na may inilabas na maliit na syringe.

Doon napatitig si Ruby at saka sinipat ang braso kung saan niya nakita ang maliit na tusok ng karayom. She felt a little burning sensation on her skin where the puncture site is located.

"Is that a-"

"Foxglove?." Putol nito sa dapat ay itatanong niya. "Yes, my dear, it is. You just got the dose of your own poison." Sabay halakhak nito. "How does it feel to be poisoned by your very own weapon, huh?"

A sense of numbness began to envelop her arms and it was crawling all over her body. Then she's started to have a difficulty in breathing as if her air tube is constricting and her pulse rate is getting slower and slower.

She was once got poisoned by foxglove and Wolf's bane during an experiment back on the island but they gave her an antidote. It was a dreadful feeling and she never wanted to feel it ever again. But now she did and it's draining her remaining energy to fight.

"Mommy?" Nag-aalalang boses ni Persephone. "What's happening? Are you okay?" Hinawakan na siya dahil napaluhod na siya.

Her legs are becoming wobbly and it felt like she was about to collapse.

"R-run.." Aniya habang nahihirapan ng magsalita. "R-ru-run. R-run, S-Sephy." Nauutal na siya dahil pati dila niya ay namamanhid na din.

"Mommy!" Sigaw na ng bata nang tuluyan na siyang bumagsak. "Wake up!" Ngunit hindi na siya nakakilos pa.

"Looks like we have to leave your, Mommy." Ani Madame na hinawakan na ang kamay ng bata. "She can't come with us because she's becoming weak. Let's go now, little one."

Hinihila na ni Madame si Sephy ngunit pumapalag ang bata at mahigpit na nakakapit sa braso ng ina.

"No!! Wake up, Mommy! Wake up now!" Sigaw ni Seph. "You have to wake up! Stop being a pussy!" Anito na ginamit pa ang kamao para hampasin ang braso upang gisingin siya. "Don't be such a weakling!" Ngunit hindi siya tuminag.

At tuluyan nang nahila ang bata ng ginang at pilit nang inilalayo palabas roon. Panay pa rin ang pagsigaw at pagmamakaawa nito sa ina upang gumising.

And then Ruby suddenly opened her eyes and can breathe properly. She can now feel and move her body as if she broke the spell that was cast upon her. Then she stood up and went after Madame again who went outside near the dock at the back of the island.

Laking gulat ng matandang babae nang bigla siyang sumulpot muli upang hatakin ang anak.

"Run now, Sephy. Go hide somewhere safe." Utos niya sa anak.

"But Mommy-"

"Run, baby. Don't stop and just keep running. Okay? Now Go!" And pushed her so she could start running.
