A cool breeze swept into the room, waking me from my dreamless sleep. Raising my arms above my head, I stretched my aching body. Flashes of last night flooded my mind, making my heart flutter and my lips turn up into a smile.

Isaac laid next to me still asleep. His chest rose and fell steadily. Black hair fell down his face and past his shoulders in a tangled mess. It had gotten longer since I first met him. Another sign that I've been in Arvora for a long while.

Another breeze swept through and the sun peeked through the trees. How long have we been asleep?

I felt a pair of strong arms wrap around me, filling my stomach with butterflies. "Good morning." his sweet soft voice floated through my ears. I felt myself relax against him, I had never felt so close to someone before. Isaac brought me so much happiness. A sigh escaped my lips and I turned my head to face him. His green eyes were sleepy but I could see the joy and love behind them.

"Good morning, how'd you sleep?"

He smiled and squeezed me, "Amazing. Best sleep of my life." he pressed his lips against my temple and stood up to stretch.

A sudden knock on the door burst our bubble of bliss as Isabella's voice called through the door. "Come on you two! Untangle from each other! We gotta meet the Keeper for breakfast.'' There was amusement in her voice and I felt my face grow hot. Did she know?

I heard Isaac laugh as he came out of the bathroom. He handed me my nightgown and smiled. "Go get ready, I'll wait for you."

My hands trembled as I took the soft fabric, why am I so nervous? Carefully, I stood up, my legs felt like jello, and my knees almost buckled. Pain zinged up my spine which made me flinch and curse. Isaac's arms reached out to steady me, his brows knitted together with concern.

"Lizbeth, are you alright?"

Reaching behind me I felt my back, it was hot, and swollen and my touch only irritated it more. Isaac quickly turned me around and gently peeled my bandage off. I held my breath as more hot zapping pain shot from my spine.

"Shit," he said under his breath. "We weren't as careful as we thought." I felt his hands hover over my back as he invoked the spell. The familiar tingling sensation spread over my shoulders and down my back. I sighed in relief as the pain dissipated.

"We shouldn't... I shouldn't have done that last night," His voice quivered. I could hear the pain in his voice. When the spell was complete I turned around and held his face in my hands, tucking back stray black strands. "We never know what the future will bring, I don't even know if we'll survive today or tomorrow. But what I do know is I am the happiest I've ever been. What we did was a wonderful escape from the crushing realities of today. I've never felt so close to anyone before. My back will heal with time, I don't regret last night and neither should you. I love you, Isa—"
