I sigh, back towards Jasper and Alice as I look around the wooded area. Apparently Victoria was back and Alice had seen her so we're out here waiting for her. Bella and Edward went to Jacksonville to stay with her mom while we handle this situation.
I could see the curly redhead in my mind, laughing as she ran through the woods. The wolves were following her, snapping their jaws at her as she ran through their territory before jumping over to the Cullen's.
"You sure this is where you saw her?" Jasper asked, looking around and listening.
"She's almost here," Alice and I say together.
I snap out of my mind, looking in the direction I had seen her in. I could hear the bottom of her boot clad feet hitting the forest floor close by as she weaves in and out of the trees. I could hear the slosh of the mud that flies up under her feet before she slows down. She stops momentarily before she takes off again.
"On your left," Alice said, getting everyone's attention.
I follow the vampires, keeping up thanks to a spell. Roman ran beside me, looking over at me as we ran. He knew I had been feeling unwell since I had met the guy on the beach a few months ago, which has made doing magic ten times harder.
We followed her closely, getting ahead of the vampires. I run faster, my heart beating faster and faster in my chest and I start to near her. As I'm about to reach out and grab her she leaps over a ravine, cutting me off.
"Wait, she's in their territory," Carlisle said to his family as they near me.
"She'll get away!" Rosalie scold's.
"No she won't," Jasper said behind me, looking across the deep ravine.
I watch as three giant wolves appear, chasing after Victoria. I watched as they raced after her, jaws snapping at her as they followed her close behind. I stared at the large black one, probably the Alpha, as he chases the redhead with anger in his eyes.
I turn and begin to run the length of the ravine, following her from the Cullen's side as the wolves begin to run after her from their side. The Cullen's and my family follow from behind me as I run. I keep up with Emmett as he tries to pass me, but fails.
I watch as Victoria leaps back onto our side, getting rid of the wolves for a moment as we follow after her. For a moment I look over at the wolves, feeling a pair of eyes on me. When I lock eyes with one of the wolves I notice it had the same eyes as the guy from the beach, making me stop momentarily before racing after Emmett.
When I reach back up to him, he's on the ground, getting back up as Victoria jumps back onto the wolves side.
"Emmett, don't!" I heard Esme yell as he jumps into the ravine after Victoria.
