Kashmin and Kumeka looked at the red clothed woman with wide eyes. After the poison situation it was said that the empress was weak and couldn't leave her bed. They even almost assumed that she would die soon and the matter would end without further mess. But now seeing her standing infront of them all in glory, they couldn't help but feel waves of terror in rising in their heart.

In a swift moment Nandini turned around and looked at them "we have met again, at the same place" she revealed a smile.

"Your majesty" Kashmin kowtowed on the ground " I urge you to investigate this matter thoroughly. We are wrongly accused"

"Oh, you are saying this maid is accusing you?" Nandini asked.

"Yes, it's true that she is from our palace. But we really don't have any idea about her plotting against you so viciously and even slandering us when the truth is revealed. Your majesty we have been loyal to you all the time, then why would we go and harm the little heir without any rhymes and reasons" Kashmin cried out and put all the blame on the little maid on the side.

When the maid heard this she was almost dead in anger. She couldn't remain silent then suddenly yelled "why does the princess want to put all the dirty blame on me? I am just a little maid working in Lily Palace to help my family survive in this world. The emperor and empress are my master and it was them who has been allowing me to work here, then why would I harbor any ill intention towards the little heir. Other than   the servant and master relation I don't have any grudges against anyone. It was her highness, who ordered me that day saying the empress would crave for sour taste and to add a pickle bowl in the dishes that her highness Empress Dowager sent in Rose Palace. I was just obeying the order and who would know that the pickles were actually poisoned?"

"Shut up" Kashmin yelled "you still daring to splash the dirty water on mother? How dare you? It was you who mixed the poison. If your family heard this they would rather die than having you as their daughter"

Listening to such words, the maid was shocked. She looked at Kashmin and anger rising in her heart. It was clear that they wanted her to take the initiative to accept the blame. They even raised the matter of her family. She couldn't help but gritted her teeth in anger. They are all nothing but a bastard. She turned towards Nandini and kowtowed again.

"Your majesty, I swear to the whole generation of my family. I didn't know that bowl was poisoned and was just obeying the order of my master. I have no grudges against the little heir nor have I ever had any disloyalty towards the royals. I made a mistake by adding the bowl, and for such a sin I would accept any punishment but would never accept the false accusations of intentionally harming the little heir. May your majesty please give justice to me" saying that she banged her head on the ground loudly.

"Your majesty, don't be muddled by the words of this maid" Kumeka said pointing towards the maid "she is cunning enough to use such words to persuade everyone to believe in her lies"

Nandini smirked when she saw Kumeka cry out in anxiety. Her smirking turned into a cold sneer when she thought about the situation she was put inside.

"Muddled?" She laughed out "does your highness take everyone for fools? The truth has already been out yet your highness still wants to play innocent?"

"Your majesty, you can't believe her words" Kumeka shook her head "we are all royals and we have been loyal towards the nation since we stepped on this soil. How could your majesty doubt us?"

"If you were that loyal as you put yourself in then by now you would have become the actual relative of Samrat and your daughter would have become consort of the second prince. But you are not. You turned your loyalty down and even ignored the promise made by the late emperor and harbour your intentions to another thing which was high in position out of your grasp"

Kumeka glared at Nandini. She actually knew the meaning of these words but couldn't refute them.

"Besides, there's no need to doubt because I know it already," Nandini sneered at Kumeka.

"Your majesty, you can't punish us with the royal rules because I am a widowed empress and belong to the royals. Besides, I have not done anything wrong. How could I let my daughter marry a cripple and make her a joke to everyone. She is made to sit on the throne of the empress" Kumeka shouted suddenly then her eyes widened. She had said something she didn't in her anger but it was too late to regret.

Manik glared at her and his gaze was almost creating hole in their body. Nandini smirked at her.

"You have really got the gut to even plot against my unborn child. Looks like last time I have not had enough punishment to make you understand things clearly" Nandini said slowly. She raised the flute she was holding and traced her fingers on it.

"Your majesty, you can throw Samrat's rules on us" Kumeka gritted her teeth.

Nandini smiled "who said I am punishing you through the royal rules. When the judgement is mine then the punishment is also mine, and that's of course does not bound by any rules or regulations"

Before anyone could understand she raised the flute vand started to play a song. No one understands what's happening. The music of the flute was too peaceful to hear and it was a kind of tone they had heard before. The peaceful atmosphere that was created by the flute suddenly broke when the flapping sound echoed in the hall. Everyone turned to look towards the large side window and found a silhouette flying inside. Everyone gasped when they saw a giant eagle flying over their head. But the flute song didn't stop.

Behind Nandini, Ageratina and Atropa held their breath as they looked above. Everyone didn't notice but they could clearly see that the song playing on the flute was not the usual call song for Egy. And this time the eagle's eyes were not normal.

It was not normal yellow eyes but red ones.
