                                      Steve's POV

Today I'm moving out of my house and into my new stepmom's house. It's been three days since the wedding. I really like Renee, my new stepmom. She's super nice and funny. She makes sure I'm happy. I've told the rest of the Gang about her. Two-Bit and Sodapop want to be friends and get closer with Raymond. I really wanted them two to meet Raymond. I know he'd like them. I was packing up my room when I found a picture of my mom and me. I pretend like I don't miss her as much as I really do. I miss her so so so much. "You almost done in here Stevo?", "oh yeah." I quickly threw the picture in the box. My dad came into my room and took a seat on the floor I then took a seat next to him. He pulled the picture out of the box and looked at it very closely. "I remember that day.", he said with a slight chuckle, "yeah I do too." I said with a slight grieving voice. "I miss her too.", my dad jerked towards me. I sat quiet and not making a sound. All of a sudden I heard the front door swing open. "Hey we're here!!" I heard Ray yell. I threw myself up off the floor and headed out the door and into the front room. On the way out of the hallway..I accidentally ran into Kassie. "Sorry." I spit out first, "no, I'm sorry!" She said like she really really meant it. "It's alright don't sweat it!" I laughed to make it humorous. "Is this your room?", "welp, it was my room. Not anymore!" She looked at me and looked very upset, "I'm sorry I didn't talk to you at the wedding. It was so rude and I didn't do it to be mean.-." "I get it.", she looked at me confused. "You do?", "yeah I do. And I'm even more sorry I didn't talk to you either." "It's okay! I was just scared.." Kassie looked down. "Why were you scared?", "I was scared that you'd be competitive for attention.", she looked away. "Hey, you don't have to worry..I'm not like that! I don't care about that!" She smiled. "Okay." "I've heard about you being a soc." "Yeah I absolutely hate it! It's so terrible having Bob as my stepbrother!! So are   you a Greaser?" "Yup!" "WAIT..REALLY?!?!?" Kassie's face lit up with excitement. "Why are you so excited about that?", "I want to be a Greaser!! I hate being a soc!" "Do you want to meet my gang of Greasers?", "REALLY?!?!?", "Yes!" She about fainted. "C'mon let's go!" She got up and ran out of the room and out of the house. I chased after her. "Where ya going Stevo?", "gonna go introduce the gang to Kassie.", "make sure they don't take her as a threat.", "dad, don't worry!" When I got outside Kassie was sitting in an old 1946 Ford Coupe. "Where'd you get this?!?" "Dad gave it to me!", "SWEET!!" She took off driving as soon as I hopped in. I told her how to get to the Curtis house and where the old vacant lot was. When we got to the Curtis house I could tell everyone was here. I was bit nervous that the gang wouldn't like Kassie. I told Kassie to follow me up to the front door and I told her to stay behind me. "Steve, I don't really think this is necessary." She complained as she impatiently waited behind me. I opened the door and everyone stared at me like I had ten heads. "Okay guys....there's someone I want you to meet. I presented Kassie in front of me and stayed still. She didn't move a muscle. "Ohh. Is this your new stepsister?! The one you thought was hot before you knew she was your stepsister?" My heart started to pound and thump and almost explode. "SHHHHH..." I widened my eyes at Keith. We call him Two-Bit. I don't really know why we even call him that. It must've been some inside joke or something. I looked at Kassie to see the expression on her face and she made a pretty disgusted face. "Alright..I'm totally gonna forget I ever heard that!" "So Kassie, tell us about yourself!!"

                                        Kassie's POV

A boy wearing a blue DX shirt pleaded!! I was informed by Steve that the boy was no other than Sodapop Curtis. I had already known all their names. Don't ask..I sat down between all of them on the pretty small couch. They all stared at me with their curious eyes. Even Keith was eyeing me up. I thought about him and I started blushing. "Well..", I exhaled, "there's not much to me. Ya know?" "C'mon..there's gotta be something interesting about you that I don't know!" Sodapop exclaimed, "alright..I'm seventeen and I have a twin brother Raymond. I love cars and I always got picked on and discriminated for liking cars." "WHAT THAT'S SO MEAN!!!!!" Sodapop about almost fell off of the couch. "Yup..I've learned to deal with it." I said remembering all the rude comments people have made. "I never would've made fun of a girl whose into cars and stuff!!" Sodapop made all the comments as the rest of the Greasers just sat trying to listen. "Yup, I sure got shamed for it!" "What did people say?!?" Ponyboy was being his curious, typical self and asked about all the comments people have chucked at my face. "Ponyboy, not your business!!" Darry barked at him trying to get Ponyboy to mind his business. "Welp in the past, people have said that I should dropout of school and be a mechanic and I've never made a ton of friends with all the popular girls. One benefit from my knowledge of cars is..I know some gases that cars can produce such as: Carbon Monoxide, Volatile Organic Compounds or (VOCs), SO2, NOx, and PM." They all look at me with widened eyes. "How do you remember all of those?!?" Sodapop squealed I could tell Steve was in shock. "That's so cool!!" Ponyboy commented. Sodapop suddenly stopped and looked a little closer at me. "Hey are you related to Sherri Valance?" I just about knew someone here was gonna ask that. I froze for a second..I almost flipped my lid. "No.." Sodapop looked at me confused. "Pardon my French but..I hate that Bitch! She thinks she's the shit for being a redhead. Like BITCH..I'm a redhead too. Open your eyes you blind ass bat." I ranted. Darry looked at me with his eyes widened. "I didn't expect that from such a proper young girl like you." I was kinda surprised to receive such a comment. "Oh yeah. Don't forget, Darry acts like he's a not a rebel. I'm l starting to think he's a square!!" Sodapop joked. "I'm not a rebel!" Darry retorted. "I'm not the only one..I can't stand Sherri either!!" Steve started to rant. I looked at him and gave him a high five. "And that's why you're my stepbrother!!" I laughed. "Wait. Wait! Can I do an impression of her!?!" I pleaded. "I'd love to see it!!" Steve screamed. I jumped to the front of the room where everyone could see me. I ripped my elastic band out of my hair and stuffed it in the pocket of my jeans. I then took a deep breath and started my impression. "Oh my gosh! Look at me driving my daddy's nice car! Oh I have red hair just to match my red Corvette." I mocked and they all started laughing. Steve actually fell on the floor and Keith was snorting which only made me laugh. They all stopped laughing when they heard me wheezing and when they saw me fall to the ground from wheezing and laughing way too hard. They all looked at me concerned and confused. "Hey y'all right?!?" Sodapop yelled to me. "I've been informed she does this when she laughs." Steve told everyone. "And the wheezing is normal for her!?!" Sodapop asked with such fear I swear he'd thought I was dying. "Phew. I almost fainted!" "I see that!" Sodapop helped me up. "Thanks for the hand." "Yup!" He was still holding my hand as we stood next to each other staring into each other's eyes. He endlessly looked into my eyes and I endlessly looked into his. His eyes were a bright bright blue. Steve took a peek at his watch, "hey, we've gotta get goin'!" "Alright!" I looked at the rest of the guys on the couch. "It was super duper amazing to meet all of you!!!" "You're a super nice girl, Kassie." Johnny informed me. "Thanks Johnny!" "How do you?-." "Is that a 1946 Ford Coupe!?!?" Keith started to panic! He looked out the window."Yep!" I could tell he was so excited. "Where'd you get it!?!?" He wanted answers so badly. "My dad was gonna scrap it. It's got a ton of issues that need to be mended. Anyways, I told him I'd find a way to fix it." "Sweet!!" We went outside to get a closer look at the car. When we got outside, Keith totally checked that thing it out. "I'd gladly help you fix it!" "Really?!?" "Totally! I've always wanted to fix one of these buddys." I smiled. "Yeah. There's giant dent in the door, it needs a new exhaust pipe, and the engine sounds a crunky. It's a V-8 block from 1939." "Alright." Keith and I talked for like eighty years about the car. "Oh and the previous owner was a moron and ran on tons of flats because all the rims are all jacked up!!" "Argh. What a total idiot!" "I know!!" After we were done talking I could tell Steve just wanted to get out of there. "Alright bye guys! It was really nice meeting you!!" I hopped in the car and drove off.
