𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗗𝗢𝗪𝗡 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗦, the sun was up and so was Clementine, AJ and I. We had walked out of the dorm room after a restless sleep, all of us looking tired and unmotivated.
Clementine: You ready work today, kiddo?
Emma: Yeah, you were up for quite a long time last night.
AJ: Yeah, I went around the school eight times last night on patrol.
Clementine: Find anything?
AJ: No danger, I just found a turtle that I thought we could keep. But it was dead, and had bugs inside, so I thought, never mind.
Emma: Yeah, that would have been real gross.
AJ: Mhm. It’s my turn to be lookout.
From the wooden lookout tower by the front gates, Tenn waved over to the boy and AJ smiled, running over to him and joining him on the platform. Clem and I smiled at the scene before being snapped out of it by shouting at the admin steps.
