𝗕𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗨𝗡𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗧 shone through a clouded window, I felt my forehead burning into my skull, a bandage covering it. I moved one of my hands up to feel it, but I got stopped by some construction taped firmly around my wrist.

Gulping, I looked around me, seeing that I was on the bottom bunk of some beds, another set standing in the other corner of the room. On that wall, pictures of a beach were stuck to the wall and then a polaroid of an auburn-haired girl with one boy with blonde, long hair and a taller boy with dreadlocks.

Emma: The fuck am I?

Ripping the tape off my wrist, I saw my hat lying on the dresser, making me pick it up and fix it on my head, careful not to hit the wound on my forehead. Looking around, the rest of my weapons had been taken out of my holsters, the canteen gone from my belt and my boots stood at the edge of the bed, leaving me only in my socks.

Just as I was about to pull the boots back on, the door in front of me clicked. I almost cricked my neck as I turned to look at it, the door slowly creeping open. I stepped backwards, into the dresser, unsure of what I could use as a weapon in this situation. But none of that was necessary as the auburn-haired girl from the polaroid walked into the room, tentatively. Once she saw I was awake, she sighed, smiling shakily.
