"Life isn't always a fairytale. But it can always feel like it . . . ."
One of the many sayings that replayed in my head. My mind tends to drift away sometimes, away from reality and words like such will consume my thoughts. I wonder though, if instead of them just being a saying, it could possibly be a memory. I've heard those words before, I could hear it and feel it in my heart.
Mum, is that you?
"Do you believe in fairytales, Zeus?", I looked towards my new friend who I laid against over the cliff by the waterfall. We both had gone for a ride through the forest and found ourselves resting here, where I gazed out at the far view of the academy across the river. I owe Nicholas a thanks. If it weren't for him, I would've never known this place existed.
Zeus sighed and I groomed my fingers through his silky crest as a smile graced my face.
"So do I, Zeus", I said, "So do I."
My classes were over for the day and I couldn't be even more releived. I needed some time away. I wanted a time with Zeus. A time for recollection.
I exchanged the Pentamarone, which I borrowed from Peter Harrington yesterday, into my backpack with my sketchbook and positioned it onto my propped up thigh. The pencil lead lingered over the blank paper while I thought about what to sketch first. A smile tugged at the corners of my lips when I realised the familiar position I currently sat in. It was Nicholas's.
A notification popped in on my phone.
It was from Ashton.

Ashton:
Baby where are you?
I still haven't gotten my extra kisses 🥺
An amused laugh left my lips.
He's unbelievably adorable.
Me:
Coming to your room right now 😘
I smiled to myself after tapping send.
Ashton:
Better come quick. I'm missing my girlfriend 🥺🥺🥺
I almost snorted. He's such a puppy dog. Cute. I found it really cute. I found it cute to be receiving messages like this. It felt somewhat normal. It felt normal to be exchanging such messages with someone who's supposedly my boyfriend. My boyfriend. I actually had one.
