Laurel dressed in jeans and a hoodie before leaving her room and heading to find someone who was heading to the same place she was.

At times, it was hard for her to keep up with her siblings. She knew Kelly was the only firefighter, Will was the only doctor, Justin and Olive were in college and trade school, and the rest were detectives for Hanks unit. The ones younger than her were all enrolled in the same school for protection wise.

She had to remember they all love to rough house, but Alejandro couldn't because of his condition; so they don't anymore, especially in front of him.

Sometimes it was hard to keep up

Sydney was like her sister, they had been to the last three foster homes together. The last one was the worse of all; especially for the two of them.

If Hank ever found out, a ride would be taken

Finding Jay, Laurel was quick to ask him what time they would leave, "about fifteen minutes from now, if you want, you can bring a notepad or something to doodle on. Some days are boring"

Before Laurel could leave to find a notepad, she heard Hank, "we gotta go, shots downtown at a local bakery. Robbery in pursuit. Laurel, with me"

Most of the kids rode separately from hank, never knowing when they would need to split up and follow a different lead.

As the kids split off with their partners, Adam and Kevin, Erin and Jay, Hank was the first to speed off. "Laurel, you are to stay in the car okay? Until everything is handled, I want you in the car and o want you down low, sweetheart,"

glancing over at her, Hank sees that she's looking and paying very close attention to him, "you're safe, no one will hurt you; or I will personally kill them" hearing the first laugh out of the child, it causes Hank to smile himself.

Parking, Hank looks over to her one more time, "stay low, until I come and knock on the door. Your safe now princess, no one fucks with your dad"

Laurel thought about what Hank said for a while, but she could see that he actually meant what he said. She finally had someone to care for her

Hearing a knock on her side, Laurel glances up and sees Hank looking in. Unlocking the door, she opens it and throws herself into his arms. "I'm okay sweetie, and so are you."

"I was scared they hurt you" rocking one of his youngest, Hank failed to realize how hard today was going to be for her, "hey, look at me, no matter what, I'll always keep kicking. They won't get me, sweetie. I'll do everything I can to protect you and your siblings, and Amelia"

After Laurel calmed down, and Hank wiped her face for her, they went back to the scene. Laurel trusted Erin, Jay, Adam, and Kevin, they had shown her in more than one way that they wouldn't hurt her.

"Alright, at the moment all that we know is that young women are getting stolen from plain view, raped, and left for dead. What are we thinking?" Hank was surprised to hear laurel's voice speak up, "what if it's gang related? Stuff like this happened a lot in New York"

"I'll call SVU, and see if we can match this case to theirs."

"When Jay gets done, I want the two of you to hit the ground looking for eye witness, Al; I want you and Ruzek to go talk to the victim at the hospital. Kevin, you and Kim are gonna work from base, for now, we're setting up a line. Who knows how many this bastard has gotten away with."

As the team breaks up, Hank and Laurel leave and head to a bar. Laurel was curious, but knew better than to ask questions. She knew if she wasn't safe, she wouldn't have been brought. "Are you ready princess?" Nodding to the older man, Laurel holds his hand as they enter the establishment.
