Chapter 2

Newt

As I opened my eyes again I saw a girl standing in front of me. All I could see from behind her was her short y/h hair and that she was quite tall. She had her arms outstretched and she was shouting  at the grievers. I tried to trip her and maybe get her out of the way because there was no hope in making the grievers stop. But soon enough the grievers stopped dead in their tracks and cowered away from her. They then ran away in every direction trying to get away from her. She took a deep breath and looked at me, before slowly falling to the ground. I got up quickly and crawled to her, Thomas and Minho did the same and we all looked at her now very pale face. "Let's get her back to the Glade" I said and I picked her up gently, not wanting to startle her. I tried to run as fast as I could without waking her so I ended up doing a kind of trot all the way back to the glade. When we arrived back everyone crowded around me and the girl trying to get a better look at her. She had y/e eyes and short y/h hair, she was also very thin from all the days, maybe weeks, maybe even months without eating. As I was carrying her they asked me to take her to the medjacks,Jeff and Clint, to check she was healthy and in good condition. I layed her onto the stretcher/bed while Jeff took her temperature and Clint checked whether or not she had been bitten. She didn't wake up at all with the medjacks so I had to carry her back to Alby and I asked him what I was supposed to do with her. He said as she didn't have a hut yet she would have to stay in mine and I was a bit surprised but I obliged nonetheless.  

I carried her to my hut and laying her on my bed but as I did her eyes suddenly snapped open and she started was breathing heavily. It scared me a bit and I accidently let go of her resulting in her falling onto my bed and quickly getting back up again. She looked at me with fear in her eyes as she rushed to the other corner of the room and grabbed my book from my bedside table. She held it in front of her like a weapon and she half yelled at me "Where am I?.. Who are you?" "Calm down" I said in the calmest voice I could muster "I'll tell you everything if you put the book down"

I felt so afraid, I didn't know where I was, who I was or who this person was in front of me. He told me to calm down and that he would tell me everything if I put his book down, but how could I trust him? For all I know he could have kidnapped me. Come to think of it, I didn't remember anything at all about myself. I kind of panicked, I rushed past the boy and opened the door expecting another room or a hallway but I was greeted by the sight of 4 massive stone walls surrounding a meadow and a small forest. There were multiple other huts and a big one near two of the walls. There was also an allotment and a three story tower made of wood. In one of the corners there seemed to be a kitchen with three rows of tables where I assumed that the people who lived here ate. The boy rushed out of the hut and roughly grabbed me. I screamed and shoved at him trying to make him let me go as he started walking. Then my eyes closed...
