Hello and welcome to the first book of The Stormcrow Cycle, The Exile!
This is a tragic romance-fantasy set in a world that strongly resembles the ancient Mediterranean. The first book is a slow-moving, character-driven piece that will slowly pick up as we ramp up the politics toward the end Book I to prepare for Book II, The Lion.
Please note, this is not Young Adult fantasy-romance, and there are mature scenes within this work that should not be viewed by minors. Please do not read this work if you cannot legally view sexual or violent content in your region. There are also serious themes such as slavery and its implications all throughout the novel, so please be aware that the content may be very intense and potentially triggering. The characters of this story operate within the moral and logical framework of their world, not ours, so many of them will hold attitudes or opinions that you may find offensive. I, the author, do not endorse their attitudes or opinions in any way, shape, or form!
As a last note, I've written this trilogy to strongly resemble traditional epic fantasy but with the added element of a strong romantic relationship that is central to the plot. I decided to add this note here to avoid disappointing or misleading my readers.
Thanks for checking this out. I really appreciate it!
Past Covers
@CBMokedi made the first set of gorgeous covers for The Stormcrow Cycle. I swapped them out for the current cover in order to stay consistent across platforms, but the simple yet richly symbolic style is definitely still one of my absolute favorites--it reminds me very much of the classically symbolic Lord of the Rings covers, which hold a special place in my fantasy-loving heart! Thanks CBMokedi! <3!
