"I'm just hearing excuses, get your fine ass up and come take a shower with me."

"Fine," I finally gave in.

"No breakfast this morning, that's crazy," Paige complained coming into the kitchen along with Chloe and Halle as I finished preparing the last bowl of cereal.

"Girl you don't see these bowls of cereal?" I responded. The way Jay had my legs feeling I did not have the energy to make anybody's breakfast. I had their bowls premade all they had to do was pour their milk, sounds decent enough for me.

"You said that like you made us a gourmet breakfast," Paige said as she grabbed the milk.

"Yeah mom this ain't it," Chloe scrunched her face up at the bowl as she took the oat milk from Paige.

"But y'all eating it though," I said.

Paige smacked her teeth, "What else we supposed to eat, school breakfast? That's ghetto."

"I can't even keep anything down," Halle spoke lowly stabbing her dry cereal with a spoon.

"Still?" I asked concerned.

She nodded, I could see the pain all over her face, "I just feel so weak."

"Aww baby go lay back down, I'll call up to the school and get everything handled," I said.

"I can't be missing school momma, especially not STEM," she winced in pain holding her stomach.

"Hal you can barely stand, please go back to bed."

"Fine," she agreed as Chloe got up to help her back to bed.

It hurt seeing my baby in so much pain, she was just entering her 2nd trimester and things have only been more difficult for her. There wasn't much I could do, I just pray that she was strong enough to make it full term.

"Can I stay home from school," Paige asked.

I chuckled, "Girl please, get out my face 'cause you really just tried it. Go finish getting ready for school."

"It was worth a shot," she mumbled before exiting the kitchen.

Blue came strolling into the kitchen with her empty bowl, "all done mommy."

"Look at you eating all your food," I tickled her.

She giggled, "Mommy when is Jay coming back?"

"I don't know baby girl, soon though, okay?"

"Okay," she frowned.

"Fix your face and go grab your book bag."

Once Blue grabbed her stuff for school I slipped on my Gucci slides and grabbed my keys, "I'm leaving, y'all better be on time for school, and don't forget to pick Shay up!"

After dropping Blue off at school I headed back home to do some light cleaning. I poured myself a glass of wine—it's 5 o'clock somewhere—before heading upstairs to check on Halle.
