Penny was now 9 months pregnant, she often found it hard to do things that she could easily do before. The swelling in her ankles made it hard for her to stand for a long time and the weight of her belly caused her to need help going up the stairs, she was in a lot of pain, lots due to the baby kicking hard inside her. She often felt the baby had broken some of her ribs doing so, as it kicked harder and harder, causing her to pee really often and the stretch marks on her body were not a pleasant sight for her to see.
Penny would sometimes have a few accidents as the baby kicks were really hard, but luckily penny had Sam to help her if one of her accidents occurred, which tends to happen more during the day as her baby is most active during the daytime.
Sam was helping penny get dressed as she was in a lot of pain, penny was sitting on the bed and Sam was doing the top half first, clasping her bra carefully around her sensitive breasts and then slipping her blue top on, then he started doing the bottom half, slipping her pants up her legs as far as possible, then he gently lifted her up and held her against his body, while pulling her pants up to her hips before sitting her back down on the bed and slipping a pair of black leggins up her legs as far as possible, then he gently lifting her up again and holding her against his body, while pulling her leggins up to her hips and then sat her back down on the bed, Sam put a pair of black socks on to her and a pair of blue trainers.
Once penny finished getting dressed she went to the bathroom to freshen up, while she was in the bathroom she started to feel water trickling down her leg so she pulled her trousers and pants down, when she saw the dampness in her pants, she gasped in shock oh no my waters broken, penny quickly cleaned up the mess and she changed her pants before coming out of the bathroom, when penny came out of the bathroom she met Sam in their room, they both took a walk to the fire station to see how the crew were doing.
When they got to the fire station everyone was thrilled to see them and everyone was asking how penny and the baby were doing? After a while penny could feel an unbearable pain hit her stomach, she immediately knew that she was having a contraption, so she called Sam and she told him that she’s going into labour so Sam quickly called Helen, Helen came as fast as she could to the fire station and she quickly helped penny into the ambulance.
Helen was heading to Newtown hospital and while she was driving Sam did his best to keep penny calm as she was on the verge of tears from the pain, they reached the hospital and penny was in a hospital bed with Sam standing right next to her and she was told to take her clothes off, penny took her clothes off and then the mid wife came to do a vagina exam on penny, your 10cm dilated so where going to give you some epidurals to ease the pain and then you can start pushing said the mid wife.
Penny took her epidurals and she started pushing, she was in a lot of pain, she ended up squeezing Sam hand while she was pushing, penny started to feel the walls of her uterus open up and the baby slowly making it’s way out of penny body, just one more push said the mid wife and with that penny pushed one more time and the baby came out of penny vagina.
The mid wife was holding penny daughter while the nurses cleaned her up and once penny was clean, she put a nursing bra, pants and some comfy pyjamas on and once she was dressed the mid wife gave her, her daughter penny’s daughter had Sam’s ginger hair and penny chocolate brown eyes, welcome to the world Jennifer Jones.
