Charli's View

My phone rings and I answer it.

"Hi, Y/n." I say.

Ah, yeah, na-na, na-na, yeah

Y/n and I were neighbors from when we're born to when I moved to California. Y/n got famous way before I did but never left.

"Hey, babe." Y/n says.

Na, na-na, na-na-na-na, na-na (Ahh)

We're not dating but Y/n loves calling me that for some reason. Not like I hate it or anything, I love it. It definitely raises eyes because she's 20 and I'm 17 — well turning 18 in a week.

"What's up? To famous to call an old friend?" Y/n asks.

Damn, Aidan, what you up to, bro?

"No, I just—" I say.

"I'm just messing with you. I'm coming to California for your birthday." Y/n says.

What you been up to, Aidan? Yo, yeah, I been

"Really?" I ask.

"Yeah. I already booked my flight, I'll be there the night before." Y/n says.

"5 minutes." Someone in the background says.

"I gotta go." Y/n says.

"Bye." I say.

"Bye." Y/n says.

"Just tell her how you feel." Dixie says.

"I'm a minor." I say.

"You won't be when she comes to LA." Dixie says.

"Y/n is an A-list celebrity. Why would she want me, someone who makes money by dancing?" I say.

Dancing in my room, swaying my feet

"Besides she's not even single." I say.

"Who's she dating?" Dixie asks.

"Olivia Rodrigo." I say.

"Rumor and hearsay. Olivia is straight, they're just friends. Y/n made a guest appearance in one episode of her show and everyone was like, do you see the way they look at each other at 10:08." Dixie says.

"Just shoot your shot." Dixie says.

Tryna give you love and a kiss on the cheek

"Okay." I say.

Time Skip

Y/n hugs me tightly and I smile.

"How have you been?" Y/n asks.

"Good, you?" I say.

"I'm great. I missed you so much." Y/n says.

"Ew, just shut up and kiss." Dixie says.

Y/n and Dixie stare at each other for a few seconds and I raise an eyebrow. Y/n's phone rings and she answers it.

"Hey, babe." Y/n says walking outside.

"Ugh, this is a nightmare." I say.

Cotton candy skies like I'm stuck in a dream

"I wanna know why you stared at each other for nearly 30 seconds." I say.

"No reason." Dixie says.

Dixie's View

"We tell no one about this." I say.

"Okay." Y/n says.

"Especially not Charli. She'll kill me if she found out that we're sleeping together." I say.
