Y/n stops running when she gets to the cones and Dixie claps.
"4 minutes and 2 seconds." Dixie says.
"Damn it." Y/n says.
"Baby, it's fine. You're making progress. 4 months ago you couldn't even walk." Dixie says.
Y/n nods her head and smiles. Dixie smiles and Y/n kisses her.
Now and then I think of when we were together
"I'm so happy, I could die." Y/n says.
Like when you said you felt so happy you could die
I smile and Y/n kisses me.
I told myself that you were right for me
"Give me my keys!" Y/n shouts.
But felt so lonely in your company
"You can't drive!" I shout back.
"Yes, I can!" Y/n says.
"You're drunk!" I say.
"Who gives a shit? You don't. You don't fucking care if I get in that car and accidentally drive off the fucking bridge!" She says.
"Fine, then take your keys." I say throwing her keys at her.
She catches them and leaves.
But that was love
That night was the night her life would change forever.
My phone rings and I answer it.
"Hello?" I say.
"Y/n's at the hospital, she got in a car accident." Avani says panicking.
"What?" I ask starting to cry.
and it's an ache I still remember
Y/n's right leg was amputated and she's still learning how to walk with her prosthetic leg.
"Y/n." I say.
Y/n and Dixie stop walking and turn around.
"Can we talk?" I ask.
"I'll catch up with you." Y/n says.
Dixie nods her head and walks away.
"Yeah?" Y/n asks walking to me.
"I'm sorry about the way our relationship ended." I say.
You can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness
"I am too. I shouldn't have lashed out at you like that, you were just trying to help me." Y/n says.
