Most people would just run away from a clingy, stalkery person. You, however, are not most people. You have been friends with a boy named Dib Membrane for a couple years now. You two met in middle school and became good friends through paranormal interests. And now, you two were as close as two people could be. Some people might say too close. You had gotten used to his clingy nature and stalkery behavior. He was just looking out for you... right? Well, you've learned to just ignore it, so it wasn't much of a problem. You could feel his eyes on you as you walked home in the dark. It may be a bit weird, but you appreciate him looking out for your safety. You never felt safe walking alone at night, even from a young age. As you entered your house you felt his eyes leave you. He knew you were safe in your own home so there was no reason for him to watch you. You made your way upstairs and began getting ready for bed. As you were in the middle of brushing your teeth, you felt strange. You weren't sure as to why you had chills going up your spine, but you ignored it, thinking the heater had just broken again. You made your way to your bed and flopped down, practically passing out as your head hit the pillow.

You awoke to the sound of scuttling from your closet. You groaned, looking at the time: 2:36 AM. You rolled out of bed, stretching and moving over to the closet doors. You didn't feel like you were in danger, so you just casually opened the doors, making a not-so-well hidden Dib jump in fright.

"What are you doing in my closet this early in the morning, Dib?" He said nothing, avoiding your eyes. You let loose a sigh, holding out a hand to help him out of the messy wardrobe. You offered him a smile before sitting back on the bed. He stood there, awkwardly shifting from one foot to the other. You lie down and smirk. "Well, what are you waiting for, ya nerd. Are you gonna come to bed or not?" A blush flared across his face as he slinked over to the bed, taking his place next to you. You sighed and surly into him, smiling. It took him a second before he wrapped an arm around you, holding you close.
