Plot: You and Camilo performed songs from musicals for the Madrigals all the time, but this time, the song is a bit different...

Warnings: Spanish cuss words...

You and Camilo instantly became best friends when you discovered you shared a love of musical theater. You spent the majority of your days in one of your rooms, singing along to musicals, and choreographing your own dances, and assigning parts to each other. It became a weekly occurrence to put on a show for your familias, and even though you were always nervous, it was always so much fun, and Camilo would always help you overcome your stage fright by giving you a quick side hug before whispering, "You got this..."

You were lying on his bed whilst he was spinning around in his chair, thinking of a musical to sing for today's performance.

"What if we did... No, we've done that..." Camilo muttered to himself, making you chuckle.

"Have we done Lion King?" You asked, and sat up in excitement, but frowned when you saw Camilo's face.

He raised an eyebrow, "Yes, remember, we did Hakuna Matata two months ago, dios mio."

You rolled your eyes and flopped back on his bed, "Okay sorry, ... Heathers?"

Camilo let out a dry chuckle, "I would love to Y/n, but I'm not performing anything from Heathers in front of mi abuela."

You decided to stop sharing ideas, because they all seemed to be wrong. Instead, you rolled over and fell off of his bed, "Ow..." Camilo looked over at you lying on his floor and burst out laughing, "Thank you for the support imbécil."

You heard Camilo stand up, and walk towards you, he grabbed your hands and pulled you up, so you were standing face to face with the curly haired boy. Well, not 'face to face' because he was a little bit taller than you. You looked at his hazel eyes, and he looked at you and smirked, making your face feel warm.

'A la mierda, why do I feel like this?' You thought.

You looked at the floor awkwardly until you heard him gasp, "I've got it!"

You glanced back up to see him scrounging through his CDs, so you just sat back down his bed and let him get on with it. You heard a little "Aha", and he held up a Hamilton CD.

"But Camilo, we've already done songs Hamilton twice?" You groaned.

"But not this song." He said with excitement evident in his voice. You just shrugged and lay back down on his bed; he skipped past a lot of songs until a certain song started playing and your face began to heat up again. You sat up and saw Camilo standing facing you as Phillipa Soo's soft voice filled the room as she sang 'That Would Be Enough'.

"Camilo..." You were surprised by how quiet your voice was, it was barely a whisper, you cleared your throat, "This is different..."

"What? Because it's a little romántico?" He smirked again... his stupid smirk.

"Well, it's just because they, you know... they... at the end of the song..." You stuttered.

"We better get rehearsing then."

"B-but are you sure?" You couldn't help but stare at him wide eyed.

"Mi vida, you're blushing." He whispered, as he helped you up... again.

You let out a shallow breath and nodded, "We better get rehearsing... then."

You stood there awkwardly as he played the song from the beginning, you hesitated, but as you began singing, it flowed out of you like water, and Eliza's character broke through...

"I relish being your wife."

You held his hands in yours, and smiled at his shocked, but impressed face. All awkwardness faded away as you sang about your love towards him, but only now did you realize what you felt was real, everything you were singing was true,

"So long as you come home at the end of the day, that would be enough."

You felt happy, but also afraid, what would this mean? Would your friendship be over? You would never be able to admit your feelings. Why did he choose this song?

"If you could let me inside your heart..."

Woah, those words cut deep...

"Let me be a part of the narrative, in the story they will write someday. Let this moment be the first chapter..."

Was this... was he asking you out through a song? Or were you overthinking this?

"That would be enough..."

And before you knew it, your lips connected. Although, you couldn't tell whether you two were still in character or not... but, you could still feel the rush of butterflies overtake your stomach, and the warmth that crept up to your face.

When the instrumental finished, you moved away and looked at the boy; his cheeks were also dusted pink, and he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Y-yeah... that was good... you did good, you have a nice voice..." He stumbled over his words nervously.

You smiled, and looked away and muttered a small, "Thank you."

"C-can we go over the last part again?" He asked.

You turned to look at him, "Wh-"

However, you were interrupted with his lips on yours again, and you smiled against the kiss, the same burst of butterflies in your stomach again. This was something you never knew you needed, but now you had it, you never wanted to let it go.

When you finally broke the kiss, you smiled at him, and grabbed both of his hands, "May I ask you a question?"

He looked down at your hands, and then back up at you, "Of course."

You took a deep breath, "Will you be the Alexander to my Eliza, minus the whole affair stuff and... death and... all that jazz?" You looked down at the floor, "That was stupid."

"No, no it was good, it was good. I will happily be the Alexander to your Eliza, minus the whole affair stuff, and death, and all that jazz, mi amor." He beamed, making you laugh.

"Camilo, Y/n, we are ready for your performance!"

You looked at each other, eyes wide, "Hakuna Matata it is!"

You laughed as Camilo dragged you out of the door and downstairs, but when you got to the 'performance area', the whole familia were smirking at us.

"Erm... what's happening?" Camilo asked, an awkward smile plastered on his face.

"Hello Alexander." Mirabel laughed.

"Do we really have to watch your lovey dovey performance? Because we get enough of that from tío's telenovelas!" Antonio groaned.

The whole family began laughing as your eyes went wide.

"DELORES!" Camilo shouted and began chasing her around la casita.
