Offender is pretty much my best friend at this point. He's giving me a place to live my life without any restrictions. I'm finally free of Slender's hold and can make my own decisions for where I want to take my life. I have a new and very weird purpose but I'm just going with the flow at this point. Once the wendigo is safe I track down the humans within the forest. I can only sense the one wendigo within this forest. It rules over a really large area. I wonder if it gets lonely being all alone?

I head to the new opening within the forest and do what I can to close the barrier to the new town. A barrier goes up and I'm hoping it's enough to keep the humans out for a little while until I can figure out the forest thing. I groan softly because I know who I have to ask, and I really don't want to have to do it. You probably shouldn't ask without Offender with you but you know Slender is currently in his office at the time. He wouldn't be happy I'm interrupting his 'work' but I also doubt he's really doing much. It's Friday. He usually just hides in his office with the excuse of work.

"It's rude not to knock," Slender growls when I suddenly appear in his office. Oops. I meant to teleport outside the door.

"I didn't think you'd be busy," I reply, snickering at the 'glare' I earn from him.

"What do you want?" He growls in response.

"How do I shut down a forest barrier?" I ask him.

"HA! Like I'd tell you that," He replies. "Fuck off."

"It's not for YOUR forest you self entitled prick. There's a wendigo who needs help shutting down an opening in their forest. I wouldn't ask if I didn't absolutely need it." I tell him.

He 'looks' at me for a while, probably contemplating whether he wants to believe me or not. I don't need him to trust me. I just need him to help me. He finally lets out a heavy sigh and gets to his feet.

"Come on," He growls, offering his hand.

I hesitate to take it but end up doing so. Slender teleports the two of us to a random spot in the forest. As I focus I can see the barrier within the trees, that's split in half, a giant hole in the magic protecting the forest. Further out into the trees I can see a small town, turning my attention to Slender.

"How do I close it?" I ask him.

"If you can connect to the magic you basically ask the forest to help you close it. Forests have a lot of untapped magic, and if you show it respect then it'll also show you respect." He explains. "Try it."

I nod and press my hand against the barrier of magic, closing my eyes and focusing on my task. I ask the forest to close the hole of magic, stepping back with wide eyes as the hole seals itself up, the town no longer in sight. My heart pounds in my chest as I look at the solid barrier, Slender making a noise. I can't tell if it's approval or disapproval but it doesn't matter much to me.

"Why did you want that one closed?" I ask him, hurrying to catch up when he strides away. "Hey! Wait up!"

"Not my fault you have short legs," He spits back. "The people of that town have seen a few of us and they were about to launch a hunting party. While the forest will keep them from ever finding us it's still a pain to kill humans who don't know how to stay out."

"You're not looking to slaughter every human in existence? That's a surprise," I remark.

"If I did that then I'd no longer have a good source. If given the option of not needing human's for food I'd slaughter every single one that ever steps foot in here," He growls out. "It's just not convenient to kill all of them."

"Fair enough," You mumble with a grimace.

Still the same cold and ruthless killer. I can't let myself forget that even if he is being 'nice' as far as nice goes for him. I still hate him for everything he did to me. He treated me like dirt and I know he's only being hospitable because I'm no longer a human. This man had brought me to death's door so many times it makes me wonder if the grim reaper would have it out for Slender. An amused smile comes to my lips at the idea of the two facing off against one another. I've cheated death so many times that me and death may as well be acquaintances if not friends at this point.

"What are you finding so amusing?" Slender asks, pulling me from my thoughts. Why does he even care?

"Nothing really," I shrug. "Just thinking."

"Hmm," He hums but goes quiet, the two of us making a quick walk back to the mansion.

"This is where I'll leave you. Thank you for the help," I tell him.

"Sure," He says, heading into the mansion while I teleport back to the forest with the wendigo. It's better to get the job done quicker so they don't have to worry about being hunted down again. It's your job after all.
