Chapter Five

"I'm not a rebellious teenager, Pa. I love Vixyn that's why I married her!"

"Love?!" Sarkastikong ulit nito. "You're a fool!" At akmang susuntukin ang anak.

"Please, don't!" Awat ni Vix. "Don't hurt him." Nagsimula nang lumandas ang luha niya sa mukha.

"Tama na Matheus." Segunda naman ng ginang.

"This is all your fault!" Na dinuro pa si Vixyn. "Kung hindi ka nakilala ng anak ko ay wala sana kaming problema ngayon. You've ruined our family!" Malakas na sumbat ng Don.

"Don't blame her, Pa!" Pagtatanggol ni Percy sa kanya. "Kahit na hindi ko siya nakilala ay hindi rin naman ako magpapakasal kay Lovely. I don't love her. Kaibigan lang talaga ang nararamdaman ko para sa kanya."

"You could have learned to love her in time. There wouldn't be a problem because she loves you. You could've worked it out if it weren't for her." At muli na naman siyang dinuro.

"Why did you decide that rashly?" Si Doña Adelina "You could've told us first, you could've talked to us instead of doing things on impulse." Napahawak ito sa ulo. "What are we going to do now? How do we tell this to the Zaldanas?" Problemadong tanong nito.

Lumitaw na rin doon ang tatlong kapatid ni Percy na paniguradong narinig na ang pinag-uusapan nila.

"We can still fix this." Si Matheus ma seryoso ang mukha. "For sure, the documents weren't submitted yet to formally register their marriage. We can still get it from the church and pay them a huge amount to cover this incident. Saang simbahan ba?"

"Why would I tell you?" Matapang na sagot ni Percy sa ama. "We got married three days ago so it's pretty sure that they already submitted it."

"I don't care, we can still fix this." Pagpilit pa din ng ama. "Break-up with each other."

"Pa, we're married! There's no breakups-"

"Then annul your marriage!" Sigaw ni Don Matheus bago bumaling kay Vixyn. "Leave my son and I will give you anything you want. Money? House and lot? Name it and it will be yours, just leave my son and don't come back!"

"Pa!" Mariin na bigkas ni Perseus dahil sa gigil. "I told you, I love her and I will never leave her! Please, stop disrespecting my wife!"

"I'm not talking to you, I'm talking to her. You don't want to leave her but what if she wants to leave you?" At sa babae na naman tumingin. "Iwan mo ang anak namin at lahat ng gustuhin mo ay mapapasayo."

Hindi rin sumagot si Percy at nilingon na lang din ang asawa na nakatitig sa mga magulang niya.

"Please, Vixyn, woman to woman. I'm asking you to please give up my son." Segunda naman ni Doña Adelina . "We just want what's best for him and Lovely is the one who's best for my son. We barely knew you and you didn't even know who you were before. Paano na lang pala kung may asawa ka na? What if you have a family of your own back to where you are from? Papaano naman ang anak ko? Siya ang madedehado sa huli dahil kasal ka na sa iba so null and void ang kasal niyong dalawa."

Mas lalong hindi nakasagot agad si Vix dahil sa kakaisip.

"Imposibleng kasal na siya sa iba." Si Percy pa din. "She doesn't have a wedding ring on her finger when I found her. Isa pa, ni walang naghahanap sa kanya na kamag-anak, eh di mas lalo na asawa? Imposible yan."
