Hi! So I'm back. :) Thank you for reading. I'm gonna be an active Wattpad user this summer. I swear. So here's Chapter 16.

I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW things turned out tonight. I mean, really.

Once upon a time, Chase came to our house for a surprise date (well, it was a surprise for ME). Then, he bought me Chocolate Chocolate Chip Haagen-Dazs ice cream. After that, he took me to see the sunset and I realized I’m sort of falling for him. Then, we went to an old-fashioned-but-still-cool, drive-in movie where I saw Amanda VanHorn, a.k.a. the most evil person on the face of the earth, sucking faces with Jared Sullivan, the man of my dreams. My heart broke into tiny little pieces and forgot all about the movie we were watching and dashed for the nearest Port-A-Potty and cried myself out. When I got out, Jared was standing in front of me, to my uttermost surprise. We were basically having our one-on-one moment with each other when Chase came barging in and ruined the moment for us. Then, he and Jared got caught up in a fight and I had to get punched in the jaw just to break them up. And when Amanda saw me with Jared, she went all ballistic and threatened me to stay away from him. Then as Chase and I were having our one-on-one moment, Precious and Abby had to disturb us by texting me to come over to Seth’s house. Chase dropped me off at Seth’s, I did some explaining to my best friends, then—surprise, surprise—Jared came over and told us he and Amanda broke up. I THINK I was about to get my first kiss with Jared when Chase had to ruin the moment AGAIN by texting me. Then, after a few homemade Nachos (courtesy of Seth—who knew he could cook?!?!), Jared drove me home and here I am now curled up like a ball, in front of the plasma TV, watching America’s Next Top Model, stuffing spoonful after spoonful of left-over chocolate pudding I found lying in the fridge.

Whew. Well, that was a long recap of tonight’s events. I’m surprised I even managed to catch up with all the things that happened. I mean, a girl can only put up with so much for one night.

It’s no wonder after Jared dropped me off; I quickly clawed around the fridge for something to eat and immediately turned on the TV. I mean, not that I’m proud of it but, I do tend to get really hungry when I have a lot on my mind. Seriously. As long as there is food within a walking distance, i.e. from the couch on the living room to our gigantic Whirlpool fridge, you’d always catch me nibbling on something edible, especially in times like this one. And you know what? I think pudding is the best way a girl can keep her head from going completely insane.

Anyway, when an African-American girl (I think she’s named Sundai or something, it’s not like I was paying much attention to remember their names) shrieked “Tyra mail!” I heard my laptop make this chiming sound. I knew right away that this was an incoming Instant Message. Although, I’m quite surprised anyone would stay so late to IM me. Reluctantly, I set down the pudding on the coffee table and checked my laptop.

Oh.

It’s JARED. My heart drummed so hard I was afraid it might explode out of my chest.

AllStarPlayer: Hey :)

TaySwift_4eva: Hey. Whatcha doin’ so late??

I wanted to say “Sorry about your breakup” but I knew better than to tell him that. He obviously needed a little space after dumping his long-time girlfriend.

AllStarPlayer: Oh, U know, stuffing as much food as I can into my mouth. What about U?

Oh my God! We’re both releasing our emotions through eating. AT THE SAME TIME!!! That’s gotta be some kind of sign or something.
