"Tell me where the fuck the guard is then?!" Adleth raged while she sprinted. The trade ward was barely far but she ran ahead of the party regardless, the trade ward was the same place Iliris and Elrora lived.. She wasn't going to take any chances. Mattrim seemed to gasp for a breath running far behind her.

"The Zhentarim.. The.. ugh fuck I'm tired.. The Xanathar suddenly started fighting.. No one saw it coming, just some random Zhentarim member jumped out of nowhere and started beating up others. The guard was busy so Renaer sent me to grab you all.. We wouldn't otherwise." Matrim breathed heartily.

"That doesn't explain- where are the other Harpers?" Herod cried, good question Adleth thought. She wasn't even part of the harpers nor was Vestus or Markos, but they all had their own reason to want to gut these guys.

"They're.. Dealing with other issues... I.. were here." Adleth snapped her head to the trade ward, son of a bitch. They were standing in an open patch like a field with tall buildings surrounding them. In the sky were three circling..

"Spined Devils." Markos gagged behind her, she fucking hated these things. More spined devils? Based on the injuries she saw on Markos and Herod after the last encounter with hell she was not looking forward to it. A shiver went up her spine, Adleth couldn't help but feel as if she was being watched.

"Ahh!" Screams near the trade buildings rang out as one of the spined devils dove down tearing at the customers. Her eyes darted around the scene, desperate to find any hopeful glance that Iliris was not there.

*Crakaboom*

The spined devil was hit in the side of the body by a rogue shot from Alekzandr. she pulled out her two short swords and twirled them in her graspe. 'Time to go to work.'

"Hey hey hey!" Markos protested quickly. Her train of thought was cut off when the cultist started yelling. "Lets just talk about this.. Guys let me talk to them!" She gave the cultist the oddist look ever. 'It's pretty obviously time to kill the demons, you idiot.' She thought. "myh, dyzw zidc ikafz zmuw ducy smiz, smizw wyruafwdh sralq xe'p wfry haf'ry myry al wapy zhey ao puwwual orap xe qfh.. wa mas ikafz sy bfwz myde haf ulwzyiv vorv haf dyz fw clas smiz haf lyyv!" Adleth was lost on what Markos was saying his tongue switched to a deeper more primal form of language, not guttural like other times but more dry.

"Adleth.. Look." Vaelle murmured to her right. Looking across the ward to where Vaelle was pointing.. Shit. She spotted two other spined devils; these ones were much much smaller than the original three in front of her.

"Alv sma vory haf?" The sound of a Spined devil talking was roughly what you'd expect if you scrubbed wet sandpaper against a chalkboard. Adleth gripped her sword tighter ready to hurl it at one.

"Oc, pihky haf puqmz mijy myirv ao py, xe'p; Markos Amanodel." Markos replied to the spined devil in a similar dialect. What the fuck was he saying?

"Markos!" Adeth yelled. "What are you saying?" The spined devil talking to the cultist landed on a nearby lamppost.

"Zmiz lipy vayw waflv oipudir!" The spined devil skwacked to the others happily, it sounded way too excited. All eyes turned to Markos.

"Markos.. What did you say?" Andraste stuttered out.

"For fucks sake." She spat as the spined devils were getting closer, Adleth crouched into an attack position. Vestus drew his axe, Herod unsheathed Vulity.

"Vuy!" The center spined devil lunged forward screaming, its beak was wide open showing off the horrific black insides of its mouth.
