Alekzandr Ikorov: CI

Start from the beginning

Adleth was pitched against the bar counting a row of coins. "Hey Alekz." He waved a hand to Adleth who was eating something at one of the tables. Her hair looked a tad bit more done today like she had run a comb through it. He didn't even know if she owned a comb. "Not gonna eat?"

"Nope!" He shot back, getting to the door.

"Wait Alekzandr!" Riu shouted from behind him. He looked over, she was carrying a platter of breakfast, probably for the whole party. "You've gotta eat in the morning or-"

"No, comrade I've got work to do so I'd rather just get to it, a true Rushiki makes it on vodka alone!"

"A true.. That's just silly Alekz put-" Riu seemed agitated, leaned over the bar. She was practically trying to leap over the desk now.. In half scale mail, a gown, and her cleric robes yeah that was never going to work or happen.

"Screw breakfast, I have work!" Alekzandr yelled at an angry Riu.

"You have to eat something! This isn't good for you!" She angrily chided while he ran out the door. Alekzandr carefully unscrewed the cap of his vodka bottle and downed nearly half of it. He did have something to eat, the best fuel in the world. That and also bread.

"Oh!" He leaned over pain slamming his gut like a foot. He was realizing drinking with an empty stomach might actually have been a bad idea. He held his stomach and kept running down the block Segiri strapped to his back.

"Hey, watch it!" a bystander yelled while he narrowly avoided crashing into them. "The hell you in a rush for?! Its nearly Founder's day!" Yes it nearly was.. Alekzandr thought. It was the nineteenth, meaning it was only eleven days from Founder's day, dear Dionysus.. Has it really been that long already? Today was an exciting day, with all the previous hours of work and constant struggle Alekzandr was nearly finished with his translation work at Book Wyrm's treasure. He rejoiced in the completion of this tome, finally some of Rushiki's work will be preserved and shown to the world.

"After eight centuries of hiding mine comrades.. We shall be revealed.." he murmured. Something about that was so very satisfying, they were such a small culture unknown to the world and now.. Their work would benefit others. Despite his feelings on what they had done to them no culture deserved to be buried on the ash heap. However.. A lump formed in his throat, he knew well where the book was headed.. How close it was getting to the last discoveries made during the war. "Excuse me!" He hurled zipping past another group of people setting up some stands or whatnot. It was not a long trek being located so very close by on TrollSkull alley he was able to spot the large golden dragon hung outside the shop from a distance away. "Huh.." He peered through the window noticing a line of customers inside he was not normally accustomed to this many people, it was actually rather nice. Rishall was sitting behind the counter with a toothy grin.

"Alekzandr?!" Rishall's eyes narrowed away from the customer right in front of him happily beaming to Alekz. "Give me a second friend, so many today!"

"Of course!" Alekzandr felt himself chuckling; he'd never seen this many people stuffed into the shop. If not for some odd magic allowing it to be bigger on the inside he doubted this many people could fit inside. He made his way quickly over to the front desk giving Rishall a quick flash of a smile, he looked pretty happy. The workshop or office behind the counter was clean and still had the two books layed out just as Alekzandr had left them. Shocking. 'I expected things to be moved all over the place.' He thought. As it was previously in the past. But this was much better. He took a seat and picked up the long feathered quill parsing himself through the book's final pages. It was rather large that he knew from the beginning seeing how it detailed the vast majority of the technological advancements of the Rushiki. It held everything from the most primitive spells, weapons of war, and automatic toilet plungers. However now in the home stretch of the encyclopedia he found the advancements to be rapidly turning to.. War.
