"MA, WHY do I have to change my clothes? Is someone coming?" Treasure spoke. He's been nagging for some time now.
"Yes, someone is coming so follow what I said, got it?"
"Fine."
Sumunod si Treasure sa utos niya kahit suot nito ang isang simangot. He was just playing earlier and suddenly his mama told him to get dressed.
While Treasure was busy changing clothes, Uzziah on the other hand was busy cleaning the whole house. She knew how nitpicky Strahmn's mom is.
After done cleaning, she reach for glass of a water and drink it. Pinunasan niya ang mga pawis sa noo.
Naligo muna siya saka nagbihis sandali para magmukha siyang kaaya-aya mamaya. Naglagay lang siya ng kaunting polbo.
It's not really long when she heard a honk outside their apartment. Lumabas siya at nakita ang inaasahang bisita.
She greeted Henna first with a small smile. "Good morning."
"Good morning."
After they talked at Dahlia's Bloom cafe that day, she told Henna where she lived. Pumayag siya na makita ang mga apo nito.
Biglang naging kabado ang tingin ni Uzziah at naramdaman naman agad iyon ni Henna.
"Don't worry, I didn't tell him. He'll go crazy if I'd let him know."
That's when she sighed in relief.
"But- uhm... Is it okay that I brought my husband? He also wanted to see his grandson."
"Sure."
Lumabas sa sasakyan si Gerhard matapos ma-park iyong sasakyan.
"Tara, pasok po kayo," alok niya sa mga ito. Iginiya niya ito sa apartment nila at pagpasok pa lang nila ay kita na nila sa Treasure na abala sa panood ng paborito nitong palabas na Oggy and The cockroaches.
"Treasure, our visitors are here," tawag niya sa anak.
Tumalikod naman ang bata para makita kung sino ang bisita pero ganoon na lang ang gulat sa mata nito na tila nakakita ng isang multo. The visitors looks familiar to him.
"Come here. Greet them."
Lumapit si Treasure na meron pa ring gulat sa mukha. Nagmano ito kina Henna at Gerhard.
"Good morning po," Treasure waved at them brightfully.
Tears brimmed in Henna's eyes as she looked at Treasure lovingly. Her mouth formed a smile in gladness knowing he's truly Strahmn's son "Good morning, Treasure."
Gerhard shuffled his hair. "Good morning, kiddo.
Wie gehts?" (How are you?)
Treasure answered politely, there's a smile between lines. "Mir geht es gut." (I'm good)
Henna and Gerhard looked at each other while their lips both parted slightly.
"He's truly a Volkswagen," Gerhard mumbled.
They both couldn't believe that they truly have a grandson now.
"Maupo na po muna kayo. I'll just prepare foods to eat and drink," salita niya. "Just talk Treasure for a minute."
"Okay. Thank you."
Nang makarating siya sa munting kusina ay doon niya pa lang nabitawan ang pinipigilan niya hininga. The pressure inside her chest was intense. Nanginginig ang kamay niya.
From her sight, Treasure was talking to them enthusiastically. His son was full of energy as if he knew the visitors for a long time.
I'll just hope they don't talk about Strahmn in front of him.
