Chapter 12

-Middle school days-

-Baji Keisuke POV-

"I see. So that's what that means" I said when I was writing it down.
Someone sat down in front of me.
It was the first-year guy from earlier.

"Who are you?" I asked.
"Matsuno Chifuyu from Class 1" he said.
"Matsuno... Chifuyu?" I asked.

"Hey, nerd. What the hell's this supposed to be?" he asked and pointed at the word I wrote earlier.
"Tora, Tiger" I said.
"It's wrong" he said.

"No way!" I shouted. "What? That's so weird..."
"Why the hell are you dressed like that when you can't even write tiger?" he asked.
'Okay, he is Kaida's brother, same attitude...'

"I can't get held back again. It'd make my mom cry" I said.
"So serious" he laughed and wrote something down. "This is tiger"
"You're a good guy!" I said.

"So, what's that you've been writing?" he asked.
"A... a letter" I said.
"Huh?! You've got a pen pal? Gross" he said.

"Shut the hell up! It's none of your damn business! I'll murder you!" I shouted.
"Okay, foul mouth" he said.
"Shut up, dumbass" I said.

"Hey, you got this one wrong too" he said. "You'd think you'd get this right with Ena-nee's notes"
"Huh? Seriously?!" I shouted.

-Matsuno Chifuyu POV-

I was walking home, I was late already...
'Ena-nee's gonna kill me... she worries too much sometimes'
"Hey, Matsuno" a gang was waiting for me...
'Great, now Ena-nee's really going to kill me... guess I'll have to make this quick'

-Kiyama Ena POV-

"I'm home!" I shouted when I came back from my training.
"Ena?" it was grandma.
"Huh? Where's Chifuyu? He should be home before me" I said.

"He hasn't come home yet, and he isn't picking up his phone" she said and I put my bags down.
"I'll go out and look for him" I said. "You stay here in case he comes home. Don't worry, he'll be fine"
"Be careful, Ena" she said and I smiled.

"Don't worry, grandma" I said. "We'll be back before you know it"
I opened the door and saw Chifuyu standing in front of me.
"Ena-nee!" he said.

"Chifuyu!" I shouted and hugged him, he was hurt again. "Where the hell have you been?! Don't make us worry about you like this, you big idiot!"
He hugged me back.
"Sorry, Ena-nee" he said. "I'm home"

"Welcome home, Chifuyu" I whispered and suddenly I saw Baji standing behind him.
"Baji?" I said. "What the hell are you doing here?"
"Baji-san helped me" said Chifuyu.

"Who are you and what have you done to my brother?" I said and he frowned. "You're never polite to anyone"
He blushed and I chuckled.
"Thanks, Baji" I said and hugged him shortly. "For saving my little brother. Thank you"

"No problem" said Baji and smiled. "He's indeed an interesting guy"
"Told you" I laughed and ruffled Chifuyu's hair. "Quite the troublemaker"
"Ena-nee..." he complained and I laughed.

"Come in, Baji" I said. "I'm sure grandma would like to thank you for saving her other grandchild"
"Eh?" he said. "I don't want to intrude..."
"Just get your ass inside before I drag it inside" I said and he was quickly inside our apartment.

-End of Flashback-

Chifuyu was crying and I laid my hand on his shoulder.
"Baji-san..." he cried. "Don't thank me... that's not fair. What the hell am I supposed to do now?"
I felt someone take my other hand.
"Mikey?" I whispered when I saw it was him.
We stood in front of Baji's grave in silence...
