Part twenty-eight (ep14)

"j- just be careful" I said putting my hand on his side, he nodded and I turned around following wrecker and omega.

echo, tech and hunter found a military base inside the mountain, I didn't like that they were going in alone but they knew what they were doing,

omegas is holding Lula while pacing, wrecker is relaxing and I am lightly mediating as we wait for a signal

"how can you two be so relaxed?" she asked

"I'm preparing, I am charging up before charge in" wrecker smiled

"we should of heard from them by now, what is something went wrong" she said

"patience young one....I mean omega" I said

"young one?" she asked confused

"sorry, usually when I hear the word patience it is followed up by that, anyways be patience omega, I would be able to sense if anything bad has happened" I assured her,

"hmmm okay" she sighed

omega and I were sitting outside, we were waiting for the signal still,

"Ella, wrecker, omega, come in" hunter said

"its them" omega shouted before running over, wrecker and I followed closely behind, "we read you hunter" omega copied

"we have the target, but we ran into some trouble, we need a pick up" hunter said

"on our way" omega said jumping into the pilots seat

"on our way" wrecker yelled excited before jumping into the other pilots seat, we took of and headed to the pick up point, it was on the side of the mountain so we couldn't land,

"we are on approach" omega said into the comm

"we see you" tech copied

we opened up the ships doors, and I ran over ready to help them board, I heard blaster shots so I set my blaster to stun and took cover on the side of the door, wrecker and I started shooting at the troopers attacking them, we needed to get closer so they can jump abroad, I kept shooting out at them, tech and the other clone jumped abroad and immediately ran to the pilots seat, but incoming ships were approaching,

"wrecker man the guns" I ordered, the ship swerved as the attacking ships shot at us, I harnessed myself in and grabbed wreckers big gun before leaning out the side of the door and shooting at the ships, they had barely any shields so they were easy to destroy, the ship lost it shields and started losing power, when omega plugged in gonky to use his power for the ship, the systems went back online and we circled around to get echo and hunter,

we got back to the ledge and I held out my hadn't signally them to jump aboard, "jump" I yelled, echo quickly jumped abroad and I helped him up, the ship turned on an angle, so hunter could jump in, he jumped over but missed slipping of the stairs

"HUNTER" I yelled, he was too far now for me to force him up, I kept shooting at the ships, praying to the force that hunter is okay

"hunter, are you okay, do you copy?" I asked desperately,

"many system failures we cannot take many more hits" tech said

"get the ship out of here" hunter ordered

"no not without you" I replied,

"I will find another way back" he said

"NO HUNTER, I am not leaving you" I said still shooting at the ships

"negative, the odds of escape are not in your favour, " tech replied

"go tech that's an order" he said firmly, tech closed the doors and started zooming the ship upwards

"NO HUNTER, please don't do this" I cried, falling to my knees,

"NO TURN AROUND, WE HAVE TO GO BACK FOR HIM" omega cried "HUNTER TELL THEM TO COME BACK, ORDER THEM TO COME BACK"

"sorry kid I can't do that" hunter said

"Hunter please" I said softly as my voice broke

"I will be fine, I love you" he said before turning off his comm

"no" I cried, we jumped into hyperspace and I was just staring at the now closed door in shock, how, no, what do I do, tears fell from my eyes, small footsteps approached, and omega kneeled down beside me, we had nothing to say, I wrapped my arms around her as she cried into my shoulder,

"we will get him back" I assured her as more tears came out of my own eyes, the rest of the squad came out towards us, I looked up at tech in shock, and he looked down at me with sad eyes, omega still crying into my shoulder, I can't lose him, I just can't,

(Question for you guys, do you want them to have a somewhat normal life after this, like move into a nice house or do you want them to keep being mercenaries?)
