adventures with the bad batch

part twelve (between ep6 and 7)

we had just had a big mission intercepting a delivery and we decided to stay here for a night to refuel and make some repairs, as soon as I woke up and left the bunk room tech called me over

"Ella, come here" tech said in a concerned voice, he was outside the ship holding something

"what's up?"

"why is there a holocron here"

"what!?" I said as I ran out to tech "this isn't mine"

"well what is it?" Tech asked

"what's a holocron?" omega asked

"it carries information that only force wielders can open" tech said

"okay I'm going to open it" I sat down and closed my eyes with the holocron flat in my palm, I felt it lift off my hand and start to open, I opened my eyes and once it was fully opened I saw a hologram of Obi-Wan?! wait what, he's alive.

"This is master Obi-Wan Kenobi, I regret to report that both our Jedi order and the republic have fallen with the dark shadow of the empire rising to take their place. This message is a warning and a reminder for any surviving Jedi, trust in the force. Do not return to the temple, that time has passed and our future is uncertain."

I shut my eyes and looked at the ground "I knew what happened to the republic and the Jedi order but that was so hard to hear"

"did you know him....on the holocron?" omega asked

"yes, master Kenobi, he helped train me a few times"

"How did it get here?" Tech asked

"I'm not sure"

I put the holocron with my stuff and went back outside to the others where omega was practicing shooting her bow on a target painted on a tree. she was off target, struggling to hit the tree.

"ugh this so hard" omega said

"you need to keep practising" echo said

"omega considering you chose a manual weapon for your first weapon that's pretty good" I said

"a manual weapon?" she puzzled

"yeah they are hard to use for your first weapon"

"do you know how to use it?" she asked me

"omega, im a mandalorian I know how to use every weapon"

"really"

"weapons are literally part of my religion" I said walking up to her "see watch" I said grabbing the bow,

"you need to keep strong and steady arms" I said opening the bow and lining up the arrow with the target "and then you release it" I said handing back the bow without taking the shot.

"didn't take the shot because your scared to miss" wrecker teased and I just looked at him, I kept eye contact taking back the bow from omega opened up the bow still keeping eye contact with wrecker and I shot the bow and his eyes widen when he saw, I looked over at the tree and saw that I made a hole in the tree right on the bullseye,

"oh wrecker I never miss" I teased as wreckers mouth fell to the floor,

hunter rose his eyebrows "don't underestimate a mandalorian" he laughed

"woah" omega said

We are back on ordmantle. Just relaxing in the ship. I was sitting with omega just showing her some stuff.
