"I'd have started dressing up from the day before."

She replied in less than a nanosecond and she immediately went back to pressing whatever she was pressing on her phone.

What was I even expecting from Tania?

I glanced at Dunni through the rearview mirror to see that she was still busy snapping pictures. She had worn a loose white shirt over her bikini when we were leaving the hostel but she has taken it off and was now in her bikini alone.

And she looked good. Effortlessly good.

Her hair was tied back into a bun, edges perfectly made and she didn't even need to do an heavy makeup before looking so good.

(I don't know about you guys but I'm scared for David 😂💔)

"Why do you keep looking at me?" Her voice interrupted my thoughts as she looked up from her phone, "Am I too pretty?" She asked cheekily, her eyes intent on mine through the rearview mirror, "Is that it? Are you feeling attracted to me?"

I shook my head at the absurdity of her question and I fleetingly wondered how it'd be if she was best friends with Tania.

There'd be no one to control the other so it'd just be madness all around.

"Yaaaah, we're here!" Tania screamed in a girlish and excited voice at the exact moment we got to the main signboard with the inscription "Welcome to Ikoyi."

It was the first time I'd be entering any part of Ikoyi even though it was really close to Coven City and I've heard so many stories about the area but I just couldn't decide to come without having any business here. And immediately the security allowed us in after thoroughly checking our car, I was momentarily blown away by what welcomed us.

It was like being teleported back in time to all the colonial time. That was how the houses looked and felt it. They looked like modernized versions of the houses that existed during the colonial period.

"Do you know that Ikoyi was where all those British expatriates lived back then?

Even if I didn't know that before, the houses I was seeing right now were enough proof.

The houses didn't look extremely extravagant but rather simple and classic as if they weren't even trying to be posh but still ended up being really posh.

And there was something calm and serene about the environment as the google map led us to our destination. It felt very peaceful- with the gentle breeze, the Bougainvillea flowers that were in nearly all houses and they were really big that they were reaching out and touching the trees in the other houses.
