adventures with the bad batch

part twenty-three (between ep10 and ep11)

"I know kid it feels bad" hunter said

"make it go away"

"I can't but the medicine should kick in soon" I said as she put Her head in hunters lap and extended her legs across me,

"mmm" she sniffled

"you will get better soon" hunter said stroking her hair

omega was fast asleep with her head in hunters lap and her legs across mine, Hunter was still sneezing and coughing and I needed to give him some meds soon, the movie had just finished although I wasn't really paying attention,

"hunter you should get some rest" I said 

"I'm fine" he sniffled and I just gave him a look "what im not tired" he laughed 

"mm mhm" 

"do you like this?" he asked 

"what?"

"travelling around, being mercenaries, what we are doing?" he sniffled

"mm I- I don't know, but I do love being with you and the squad, Its always fun being with you guys" I smiled 

"well uh what do you want to do.... in the future" he said lightly, his voice still sounded different because he was sick

"I don't know, there's not much to chose from with the empire" 

"yes, when stop being mercenaries, what do you want to do after" he said still subconsciously stroking omegas hair 

"Im not sure, finding a nice house like cut and suu's would be nice" I smiled 

"yeah, I love that house" he grinned and I looked over at him and nudged his shoulder 

"no seriously though, find 4 or 5 nice houses near each other so we can have one each" I said almost joking knowing that could never happen but it sounded good

"yeah that sounds nice... wait we would be in the same house right?"

"ahaha yes of course, probably with omega too" I smiled 

"yeah, us three in one, tech right next door," he smiled, thinking of how nice this dream is, 

"a nice farm, occasionally going to the near by village, selling some of our produce and buying other food" adding on 

"tech could set up an energy source, solar panels probably, free energy" 

"and we have the water generator" 

"sounds nice" he said "uhhh what... actually never mind" 

"no tell me" I lightly smiled 

"uhhh kids?" he asked nervously 

"uhh, probably not, not for a while at least, I mean we have omega already, unless you..." I said, I was never sure if I wanted kids, and especially since we have omega now, I don't know.

"yeah, I am the same" he smiled wrapping his other arm around me and kissing my forehead "I will ask tech to look for some abandoned houses" 

"wait what?" I said pulling away 

"what I thought you wanted a nice house"

"of course I do but I thought we were joking" I smiled 

"well yes but we may as well look" he smiled, I moved back over and put my head on his shoulder 

"mmm I love you"  I smiled 

"I know" I lightly nudged him
